My favorite would be actually a TV series. Fire er Knight. But a single story would be Braham Stokers Dracula. Anime had a descent take on vampires was Shiki.

I'm actually writing a Vampire novel set in an apocalyptic future. I appreciate Anne Rice's gothic motif in her writing. However, I am not a fan of her Vampires because they are not scary. I have nothing against her, it's just her Vampires were not my cup of tea. I was more inspired by Brian Lumley with his Necroscope series. His Vampires are the scariest Vampires ever written in fiction. Those books had a huge impact on me for sure.

Nice! Ill have to check those out at some point! I have a trilogy novel with vamps set in the future too I've been writing since I was 14. I doubt I'll finish it ever lol just can never find the time for writing anymore!
