Interstellar was great bass even from my single 12" OSD Trevoce subwoofer. But now the best movie is Oppenheimer scene 2 (7 minutes to 8 minutes into the movie). The Hans Zimmer song is great but the Bass is purely Violently Awesome ! I actually got scared/worried for both my eardrums as well as my neighbors. LFE at 80HZ. But used the low-level dual rca(LFE Off) had Subwoofer crossover lowest at 40HZ that's more power and that's when I actually got scared. Onkyo receiver at volume 33-35 for Beast Mode. I will take video clips next week, got a Camcorder now.

I can appreciate the quality and SPL of the JTR system, but personally i love the esthetics of higher end speakers in my home theatre. I only have 1 listening space for my music, movies and entertainment and i absolutely love looking at my speakers, regardless of the reflections of them due to the light from the projector. Looking to upgrade to the Arendal 1528 series for all the main speakers, not sure i would go the hidden route even if i could go for a stereo listening environment and a cinema on top. The sound is at least 70% of the experience of the movie, and i personally think that deserves to be presented visually as well.

My wow moment was the sound bleed through to your open living area. Your wife is a saint, brother! Your new house better have a room within a room built for your dedicated HT, or the more affordable solutions for many of us Floridian. Which is build your garage with block cement walls and add double staggered studs for your garage/HT room. The entrance to the garage cannot be attached to the house, but rather an outside entrance. You will spend three times more mula trying to do some sound travel mitigation in any Florida built house of a space built within the foot space of the home structure, and still will have noticeable bleed through (98% Florida homes can not be built with a basement (you'd be under at least 3' of water in the summer rainy season). Please note that acoustic room treatment only affects the sound waves within the room itself. It does very little to mitigate sound bleed through, specially for low frequency LFE extension.

It was your home theater tour of your room video prior to moving that really impressed me and introduce me to your channel. I discovered the video by accident, but don't regret though. RS1 will have much lower extension than both SVS or Arendal. I’m getting down to 5Hz in my theater room with my RS2’s. I have not reviewed the PB17, but I would expect it to have similar output as Arendal 1723 2V. The app on Arendal has more features than SVS. Fit and finish is nicest on Arendal. @@yournightmare9999 I absolutely agree, also to note it's not just about output as I find personally that larger subs have way better dynamic range when it comes to producing ambient ultra deep bass at low volume levels that you can still feel and hear is present when listening to a variety of different material, call it say "a disturbance in the force" that smaller subs just can't do properly unless pushed with much more output gain and which in turn has a direct impact on the bass being much more louder in the upper ranges that effect the transient response when trying to go infrasonic and remaining controlled throughout it's frequency response due to having less moving mass. They probably have their subs flat whilst Michele has a boost in the low frequencies, might also account for the difference. Pb2000 should be fine for their room, it didn't look huge. Would love to invest in some bigger subs but they aren't economical this side of the pond.
@JeffreyFrye13 күн бұрын
@@stephengreen8058 I actually use a +10dB Harman Curve for our setup, so definitely not flat as I mentioned in the video. We have some bad room modes that the dual subs help out so we still can get a good response down to about 15Hz. We just lose output/subs compress louder than ~105dB so the 10dB boost we have on the low end doesn't allow us to get everything we want. Not to mention the difference between just pressurization and movement of air from the larger surface area drivers in Michael's room. But yeah, I thought the PB-2000 Pros would be enough as well when we bought them and had zero home theater experience. There's just a crazy difference with these JTRs lol.

@@Youthman Yeah same, bass in music is usually mixed flat, whereas in movies it already has a rise toward lower frequencies in the mix itself (since cinemas and their mixing rooms are calibrated to be flat in the bass and midrange), plus there's the greater headroom and use of the LFE channel not present in 2CH music. You can compare how a song sounds when it's used in a movie vs how it is on a regular release, if it's one that wasn't composed for the movie, it will often have been tweaked to boost the bass when in the movie!
