At the end of the day, the channel is whats valuable for Matt, with all due respect youthman is just an enthusiast, and without the channel would be no real value for Matt’s business plan. You’re completely incorrect. Matt doesn’t even know what videos I’m making on my channel. He watches them, but I post what I want. I’m just learning whatever I’m doing, film it. If I’m doing a Home theater tour film it. If I’m calibrating my own set up film it if I’m traveling film it. Documenting my experiences.

I currently have two remotes in for review as well as two subs from Arendal and amps from OSD Audio. It takes me longer as I’m focusing on building out Obsessed Home Theater. Last week I filmed a phenomenal Home Theater Tour. Today I flew to Alabama to film two more home theater tours and to take a look at the new Epson QB1000.

interesting! I will say, the Klipsch Heritage series as in my Forte' 4's, those woodworkers really have veneer matching to a 'T'. More then the flowing sides and fronts, even the pairs are identical. Best of luck with these speaker projects 👍.

Consider Applecore as a good substitute for Baltic Birch or HDF an excellent substrate for veneer work.

The Klipsch RF-7 III, RC-64 III, and Heritage speaker enclosures all utilize furniture grade wood veneers, and are available in Black Ash, Cherry & Walnut. I believe I could handle the standard JTR black finish although I’m not totally sure until its in my living room. I don't care about the sub, it's the speakers that stand out since they are so tall like the Noesis 212RT.

I think a white wash veneer would look sleek. It would add a clean aesthetic if you like a white speaker style, but can still see the woodgrain.

I'm down for JTR including a do it yourself, put it together yourself and finish version that will save a lot of money. JTR is cool and I am sure they sound amazing, but if they are just going to be a little cheaper than the $2600 each lowest price JTR I don't see them out in masses. I'm so hoping to be wrong. I thought when I saw youthmans new Atmos speakers that might be cool for an eleven speaker set up, but the prices are too high. Sorry. Hopefully everyone that wants a 65 to close to 100db sometimes loud home theater will see an affordable option. 👍 Nothing but love guys.

Im going to have a very tight budget once my back to the studs room rebuild is completed, im really considering a 2.1 system using a pair of these to start. If i like them i may expand to the full 7.2.6 system using these.

building a theater on a real budget . i have all polk speakers fronts are rt20p, center CSI A6 , rear Monitor 50 , upper t15 , ceiling has 4 vt60 . sub is a mirage bps-400 . i have a yamaha rxv467 and a ONKYO M-501 that powers the ceiling speakers (this is temp till i get a atmos amp) yaber y31 projector with a diy 110 inch screen thats made from 1x3 pine and hanes eclipse black out curtain material. the whole set up cost a total of $500 ! any way i got curly maple burl veneer that im going to redo all the speakers with a tung oil finish . this is the easiest thing anyone can do to change how it looks plus is dirt cheap .

If you're just going front stage speakers, think of adding in-ceiling front Heights. The Marantz will unmixed most things and be more immersing. It would be good if you could add atmos speakers without using any surround speakers, but I doubt Marantz doesn't do that.

They should have listened to you Michael, the right speaker is still too far back.....use the planks of the flooring to line them up....put the front corner of each stand on the same seam of the floor boards 😉 If you turn the magnets around, that are in the grill, will they attach better with them hidden? It looks like you have some of their poles opposing each other. JTR should consider selling their speakers unfinished. Being able to finish them in ANY colour/stain would be so cool! They'd have to have a "finish at your own risk no return" claus I think though so people can't return them if they mess them up...

Yes but in a book shelf manner. Like the ones in this video but with 8s and some with 6s. Also like the ones Scott Newby just replaced which Jeff no longer makes the 8s. I think smaller sizes would sell a lot specially for living room set ups. Thx Michael for ur reply
