Calling back to the videos Blunder did with FSG regarding the paradox guys, I always found it odd that he said koraidon was way easier to use as a sweeper. Ive always thought that electric seed double dance miraidon was the easiest and most satisfying sweeper to use in mons history. But the crazy part about miraidon isnt even the power, its the set variability. Both choice, boots pivot, sub LO, sub cm, boots stallbreaker with taunt, double dance, all of these options are amazing and its honestly a no risk to use any of its sets on your team. Banworthy? Maybe, but this mon is the most fun Ive ever had using an Uber, including Tera Shadow Rider. Spicy take I honestly think this is better than tera shadow rider because to sweep it doesnt have to Tera.

tbh, I really hope this thing get's banned to anything goes... just because of all the guessing involved. What set is it? There is a crazy large difference in how you deal with set up, specs, scarf and pivot. Even within the sets...do they have volt switch? If they have parabolic charge you also have to play differently, and my personal favourite, tera fairie tera blast. Even if you know the set, if it's specs or scarf, you have to guess what they click every single time Basically, I've been noticing more and more scarf sets simply to win miraidon speed ties Kuraidon has a lot more switch ins, the moves are lower base power, the set up sets get walled by fairy types. Miraidon sets have counters, but you need to dedicate atleast 1-2 team slots to this thing, and you won't be able to beat all the sets, reminds me of why Kyirum got banned from gen 8 OU tbh

Yeah, it was manageable to run like 2-3 answers to this thing before the DLCs but now there are just too many other threats to take into account in addition to running at least 2 Miraidon checks. I do feel as though Ubers should be a bit centralized because that's kind of its trademark to be centralized around one insane threat (previous gens had Xerneas, Caly-S, etc)

Miraidon does far less good for the tier as a whole and is mostly a negative presence. All it does is monopolize teambuilding, with most teams needing a counter, and a check, AND usually a soft check to pivot in on an immunity just to be super safe. It leaves little room for checking other giant threats like Kyogre, Arceus Ground, and more. Koraidon is quite overpowered in its own right, but it brings benefits to the tier like being an actually good speed control option (where there are otherwise next to none).

In response to the title of this video. I don't believe Miraidon is the strongest Pokemon in Ubers, nor is it the strongest among all the Pokemon available in this generation. In Ubers, Koraidon is stronger than Miraidon, and we if look at this entire generation as a whole Calyrex-S is the strongest, as it's the only one in AG atm. The only ground types that can switch in to miraidon are Ting-lu and specially defensive Arceus ground, and both get take large amount of damage from draco, Arceus ground also becomes set up fodder if they tera and are running that set Ting-lu can deals with 90% of miradon sets, but has no recovery, so it will dies after switching in 2-3 times.

It is, but Miraidon is more restrictive on team building thanks to its hyper specific and often easily exploitable answers. Pre-dlc using at least 2 team slots to answer Miraidon was ok since it was centralizing but there are other strong threats now that also force you to have answers that you might not be able to fit in thanks to your mandatory mix of Miraidon answers Koraidon answers on the other hand are good mons that help answer other mons in the tier too (like Ho-oh that is great for both it and Zacian)

They do well but they're exploitable, and thanks to the expansion there are numerous other centralizing threats to deal with and being forced to bring a passive ground type really drags down teams. Miraidon has been using more pivot sets lately that can just U turn out of your answer (letting it get chipped by hazards), until they're in draco range and after that it's free to throw elec stab. It also dabbled in Tera-Ice + Tera Blast, etc. Basically you need at least 1 hard answer to Miraidon, at least another soft answer, and a faster revenge killer on any given serious team, which was ok pre dlc but is arguably too much to ask now. Koraidon on the other hand is just as fast, a coverage machine, amazing setup sweeper, etc. but its answers are also much easier to fit on a team because they're much stronger mons and viable outside of their niche of answering 1 mon

Personally, something should be damned broken if it's going to be banned from Ubers. Zacien, Calyrex-Shiest, those made sense when they were banned. Miraidon, on the other hand, I don't think is justified. It's fast, it's strong, but it's not like the other bros that got mentioned, ostensibly it has the same stats as Koraidon but a better typing. If Miraidon gets banned, then it's truly the end for Quark bros.

At least Koraidons checks are almost all at least decent outside of answering it, while most of the grounds have no business being as common as they are without Miraidon (especially garbage Treads) or are a waste compared to other much better sets (sdef Arceus-Ground instead of something like Dragon Dance).

As a player, you have no idea what version of Miraidon is being used by your opponent, because of how well different sets can fit on the same type of team. The scarf/specs are incredibly powerful, but are easily predictable and can be played around with. It's those boosting sets which are the most threatening imo, because they can easily setup and win against any type of team.

On the high ladder Miraidon is restrictive to team building, hence why it's considered banworthy by the council.

Koraidon whilst being better also is more needed in Ubers. Insane speed control to somewhat limit fast mobs like zacian miraidon and basculegion and can stop kyogre from destroying everything with tera W water spout. Without koraidon Ubers would be a mess. Basically Ubers has always centralised around a single pokemon like XY Xerneas or Pdon in ORAS, gen 9 is different in that Ubers has so many centralising threats with the main ones being the bikes, together both of them and stuff like Last respects restrict team building a bit too much. Hence to make Ubers more stable you need to remove some of these threats to keep fewer centralising pokemon. And miraidon doesn’t contribute positively or support to the tier anywhere near to the same level as koraidon, hence miraidon seems the better choice to remove for the council who want a better more fun meta game

Stop banning stuff. I get the seriously OP stuff, but this is Ubers. This is where OP belongs. Legit Mega Rayq and Gen 8 Zacian are the only two who deserve the Ubers ban. End of story

Ever since traditional Uber staples like Darkrai and Deoxys-S started getting unbanned from Ubers and falling down the tiers, Ubers has felt more like OU tbh. AG is basically the new Ubers.

@@anna_medeiathat’s not a good argument, as there have been many Pokémon to be banned from their tier due to terastalization. Volcarona, regieleki, and baxcaliber all got banned at one point from OU cause of Tera. That’s the gimmick mechanic of this generation that any Pokémon is capable of doing. Mega Ray and Zacian in gen 8 had something that only they got which is what made them banworthy to AG. My point is, you can’t ban everything just because of a gimmick that EVERY Pokémon can use. I understand that Miraidon is in a very good place to use Tera, same with Calyrex, but this line of thinking is just gonna be one ban after another for no good reason. Either manage the “game breaking OP generational gimmick” better (maybe by giving one or two optional Tera’s) or make a better a counter and stop complaining.
