Your visit to Immigration reminds me of the day I helped out a pair of American friends settle their visa problems. the Husband was wearing shorts and flip flops and wasn't allowed inside. So I accompanied him and we waited outside in Starbucks while his Filipina wife went in because her clothes passed the formality test. LOL! memories! It's very nice of them to at least give you a rare exception. They got to considering you just survived a typhoon. Hope the visa problems get settled soon. Sometimes it's just a matter of something missing that can be supplied so yeah. I did the same thing recently and now I'm on my way back to Immigration myself this week to get my released papers. I'm glad you are approaching these things with this super zen attitude. I certainly learned a lot from you guys and I have become more zen myself. it really is a good way to live life, ei?

Yes, It's much cheaper to send documents from the Philippines to Europe than vice versa. Our local courier doesn't charge that much compared to Spain and other parts of Europe, last month I send a document to the Philippines and I paid 72 Euros, very expensive. By the way your system in the UK is much easier to renew your passport, you just send the old one to the UK and it will be set back to you where ever you are. For us Filipinos you have to go the nearest Philippine Embassy personally to renew our passport. Hopefully we can adapt your system in the near future it's much easier. Nice to see you visiting places again in Mindanao after that devastating typhoon you've experienced.😀😀😀🙏🙏🙏

Why, with all your experience in PH would you expect to have an easy day when you had official documents to process? It's a given that you will run into problems, although the validity issue was kind of an obvious one. International travel on a passport with less than 6 months validity is generally well known to be, at best inadvisable, so by extension would be an issue for visa renewals, particularly somewhere like PH. You're lucky you're not under threat of being deported or fined for an overstay.

Coconut husk scrub ( in my place we call it "lampaso") was the way in which we polished shine a newly waxed floor! At school ( concrete foor) and at home (wooden floor). It was great exercise too as you sweat a lot! As assigned cleaners at school, we also played with it. I would put my two feet on the husk and someone would pull me around so we polis the floor at the same time as playing. Oh those were really fun days!

I experienced that too, especially in our first house! Our living and dining area's floor is made of bamboo and made of wood for our bed room's floor. So we need to apply (floor) wax then scrub it with coconut husk then swept it with walis tambo (broom). Some apply (floor) wax then scrub with coconut husk then uses dry rags in scrubbing (2nd) for polishing at sweep it walis tambo (broom). It will surely be a good exercise especially if you want to lose weight. Traditional style but effective way of cleaning and polishing your floor and good for health too! God bless you and your family always! God bless us all always!
