Who pushed the drone fishing ban. Strange? Was it a big problem lol. Less than 20 people in the whole state drone fished. Not every island is the same. Obviously the Big Island should be allowed to drone fish.

It was because couple guys in Oahu were droning lines into where people were swimming and surfing so it became a safety issue. The politicians didn’t even differentiate between types of drone fishing and island. Lots more research should have been don’t before the ban for sure.

lol, it was the guys in Oahu who were sending jugs into the surf break where people was that started the entire ban conversation. Along with the monk seal entanglement reports. Also, Hawaiian groups saying people flying over sacred spots etc. You can read da reports.
