I think it's sick to encourage people to have kids when they don't have the means to give them a good upbringing. People often lack the time and money to give kids what they need. Populations tend to balance themselves out given there is an environment to thrive in. Maybe plummeting birth rates indicate that we aren't thriving, and in that case Musk should be more concerned with that than people having more kids they can't take care of.

I mostly agree with Ana. Too many children in the world. There are like 8 BILLION people on the planet. And I know it's country by country. Some countries are heading towards population slumps, but the 8 billion or so people should tell you that there are a lot of people already, and not all can find resources to live in this world. "HAVE MORE CHILDREN!" Not everyone can, or wants to, or foresees themselves as being able to afford them, or have time for them. They say that the most important thing you can invest in children is time? Well, what if you're not available to be there for them? Or that things are too expensive, so you know that becoming a parent would be unwise? And what about those children with no parents? Be they homeless, or be they in an orphanage? I disagree with them regarding global warming, though. It is a real issue. But most importantly, take care of the kids WHO ARE HERE NOW, rather than trying to flood the world with too many more.

Ana is too sensitive about this topic though. I get it can be annoying, but youre at an age where kids are a normal part of life for most people around you. What her family member said isn't wrong. If you have kids, you have NO CHOICE but to do whatever you can to make sure they are provided for. You absolutely are going to have more of a fire under your butt and focus if you have a responsibility like that. It's entirely fair to say that you don't want that responsibility, but, people are far more likely to do what they need to do for their kids. Who cares that people have different opinions on children. The facts are people in absolute poverty have more children than the wealthy. The wealthier people are the less likely they are to have children even if they want children. The modern womans problem is not money it is time. Women put their career first and wait to long to have children and then their eggs are no longer viable. This is the reason for the decline in children, not childcare or expenses. Kids were always expensive, even more so before. Yes of course kids hold you accountable and you will care more about the culture and see the rot of the world much more so than before. The Democratic parties core values may be ok with single people but it is anti family. I also do not find that our culture is pro-children and pressuring women to have children they were just havng beyonce concerts for abortion. Women mourn the loss of children if they do not have one, I believe women do mourn it even if they say they dont because studies show that is a biological want of most women.
