This guy is a liar. He opens up saying the exact same thing when he went on the David Pakman show. He claims not to know about politics and then interviews Donald Trump with not only softball questions, but questions that guide him to give answers that seem to exonerate his ludicrous behavior. He's very much involved in politics. No wonder the Behavior Panel has been putting out content to make Harris look bad and Trump look good. It's not by accident that they ignored commenting on the debate since it makes Trump look really bad. Or maybe they are taking their time in trying to work on their spin, which is an arduous task, in making Trump look like the winner. Here's something interesting. I would like the Behavior Panel analyze his behavior in this episode, his increase of rapid eye movement, his inability to look at Ana in the eyes, his sudden shift in looking at Cenk while having his back towards him the entire time, his single shoulder shrugs, his eyebrow raises, his dropping of his his head, turtling.

@reneeschnarr62602 ай бұрын
I stopped watching his show years ago and ever since Trump won the election and Phil didn’t denounce any of Trump’s nasty comments or lies or the rash of hate crimes that erupted right after he won made it obvious he supports him and obviously voted for him. I used to like him but I guess all the money he’s made and all the attention he gets has ruined him.

This was a terrible interview. Dr. Phil has been on TV for 20 years. He understands what it means to say "I'm not into politics." In the cases in which that is true, someone doesn't follow the news, doesn't have strong opinions about the way the world works, and is just focused on living their lives. Someone who says "I'm not into politics" and then says "we need to seal our border / taxing the rich doesn't fix anything / the Left should stop saying that Trump is a danger to the country / government is too big and never works" is just a Rightwinger who wants to brand himself as an independent thinker in order to give his Rightwing viewpoints more purported credibility. Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage--they have all claimed they aren't Conservatives, they're apolitical independents who just think in "common sense," but "here's why every wingnut hard Right policy is awesome and every Leftist is an idiot or a monster." For you not to check him on any of this nonsense is a massive disservice to your audience. I know--you now have this philosophy of trying to find common ground with the Right (not the Left, who you show freakish disdain and dismissiveness for when they disagree with you), and that's fine if the issues generally reflect a valid, defensible position. But when you just nod along and agree to 80% of Rightwing framing, this set of new Rightwing positions you have on immigration and crime and policing, and "aw shucks, both political bases really do want the same wonderful things, it's just a question of being nice to people across the aisle," nobody comes away with anything other than his disingenuous pablum. You don't have to rip a Conservative's head off in order to check his/her nonsense, and there was virtually no pushback at all on any of his. No, the problem is not that people are too mean to Trump, the problem is that telling the truth about Trump leads to an accurate picture of him as a fascist criminal monster. The problem is not that "the government doesn't work," the problem is that corporations bribe government officials to not do their job, and that is a failure of Late Stage Capitalism. The problem is not that we have cultural divides, the problem is that one third of the country believes in barbaric fairy tales and feels entitled to subjugate and punish everyone who doesn't agree with them. You had an hour--ask him 5 minutes of real questions about why he is blaming all the wrong people. You're a news and news analysis show.

Have any of the people who claim that the government just hands out money ever tried to get assistance from the government? It took me 3 years to get my disability approved. I worked since I was 12. At 50, I became unable to work, but I had to stay with family for years to survive until the 'handout' that I contributed to my entire life was finally approved.

It only seems that way to less educated people. Highly educated people are extremely humble and insecure outside of their field because they're not susceptible to the Dunning Kruger effect. For example, even as a mechanical engineer I'm acutely aware of my ignorance even in non-mechanical engineering fields.
