the time remaining is not very accurate, there is no way to stretch the battery to 24 hours. the most screen on time the S7 should get is 5-8 hours.

I'm hoping this and following the 40-80 charging rule will help with my battery. This was an issue on the last S7 I had which was in out of box condition (new), so I doubt it's a refurbished issue. What I did to get out of moments like this on my J3 Prime was I used power saving mode as much as possible and followed that 40-80 rule daily.

if you think that your battery life sucks, just stop using snapchat so much cuz i uses so much power, it uses over double the battery than screen on my s7. if i use sc like only once a day i have over 50% of battery left when i got to sleep but usually i have to charge it even before i go to sleep...

I think its because of Samsung purposely added into your Samsung to shorten the battery's life in order to persuade you that it's about time to upgrade your phone. Initially, with the same apps, settings and usage of my S7 phone, it lasted 36 hours or more but it's getting shorter and shorter of usage time and I wonder why?

My battery on my s7 edge has been fantastic. I just plugged in after 1 day and 6 hours on regular use. I wish my carrier offered Smart Manager though...or a 3rd party way to gain access to it.

i fixed it 3-4 weeks ago, the issue was media storage would for some reason be using 70-80% of battery usage through the day, i removed my micro sd card and went from 4 hour battery to above 25 hour. as it was on day 1. i dont play games on phone or vids

I'm dealing with this issue as well but i'm also dealing with my incoming text messages being in a white bubble when normally it's grey now that it's white I can't see the messages and all these issues started after the Oreo 8.0 update. I use my phone for work so this is a major problem for me, not being able to view messages is critical to my daily life with work and also my family life. Seriously? I just got mine and I get between 8 and 10 hours OST. That's browsing, films, youtube, whatsapp, Facebook. I don't play games. A mixture of mobile data and WiFi. Turn off Always on Display and OK Google from every screen. Make sure that battery usage for location is low as well as the weather app (set to wifi and mobile network). The Always on Display drains like crazy and Ok Google from any screen is always listening with drains badly too.

+Jeff Hartmann Hi Jeff, I had the same issue. First changing the theme is the best way to improve your battery life. Also you can go into the display and change the screen mode to another option besides Adaptive. You will see a major improvement.
