Let's just get rid of double standards in all walks of life, eh? That goes for both men and women. We shouldn't get more leniency in court, but we should also not get paid less for the same job in the same company with the exact amount of experience or hear "it's just stress" when we present with certain symptoms and men get a whole battery of tests to figure out what causes said symptoms. It also applies to men getting more equal chances in a custody case and not blindly favor the woman, or being taken serious in cases of DV and/or SA and be able to express their emotions without being seen as a pussy or "Not manly enough". Enough situations to stop making distinctions between sexes, not just in criminal cases. I mean I fully agree with you just to be clear but at the same time we have a lot of work to do for both men and women in different parts of life, not just in sentencing.

This is a true but insane story that I thought I would never get to tell. When I was about 16 or so I was hanging out with some guys one night and we went to one of their girlfriend's house to party. So, we're in the living room drinking, smoking, hanging out- and the guy who we came with is in the back with his girl- doing what boys and girls do. All the sudden we hear this ear-piercing scream- followed by her freaking out and saying something about "All the blood... " - we run to the back and jerk the door open- and there's our friend standing there with blood running all down his legs from his crotch area- and he's holding his business, pacing back and forth in pain. I thought the girl had cut him or something- turns out they were heavy at it, he slipped out on the back stroke, went between her leg and the sheet- and just peeled his pecker like a banana. It ripped 3/4 of the way around the head- and pulled the skin back. Now that said- of course none of us want to look at it- dude keeps being like "Look" and every guy in the place is like "NO!" simultaneously. We had to call an ambulance- he had to go to the hospital and have his stuff sewed up. Never seen or heard of anything like it but I swear on my life it happened. And here's the real kicker- they were sober. That's why they went in the back- neither one of them partook of the devil's lettuce or drank- so they went to do their thing while we did ours. The next morning, we got stuck in the girl's yard, in a Camaro, and just tore it up trying to get out, never did. So, we asked this other girl that was there to give us a ride to my friend's house to get a truck so we could come back and pull his car out- and she wrecked on the way to his house. Luckily, she just spun off the road into someone's yard- didn't hit anything. We walked the rest of the way to his house- about a mile, because we didn't want to get back in the car with her.
