@@Sniperboy5551 If someone gets drunk and picks up a gun and accidentally shoots someone, they get charged with murder. It should be the same with a vehicle. If you make the choice to put yourself in a position where you're likely to kill someone due to your impairment, you should be ready to accept a murder charge. The fact that the law doesn't work that way just shows how little the government actually cares about it's citizens' lives.

I got a DUI at age 14. Long story, but I ended up having my license suspended. Downward spiral ensued. Got so many tickets for driving without a license that I was declared a "habitual offender". Did 5 years and it took my 20 years to get my driver's license back. Got out in 2003, got a license in 2018. Basically that one night at 14 ruined my life. At best it put me about 30 years behind. Now I finally got a license and a business of my own making about 120k a year. Haven't had a drink in over 20 years. Long story short, DONT DRINK AND DRIVE. However, shit happens, so if you get busted, STOP. Don't let the "slap on the wrist" fool you. It's a trap that will only get you more charges and more time lost. It adds up.

I've had one DUI, and that was enough! One to many actually! My son in law of 6 months was killed, and my daughter enough injured, on December 28, 2017, by a drunk driver who then tried to flee to Mexico! His name is Mario Banda, and he's still in prison. Rest in Peace, Robert White. Edge still misses you.

Having lived in Clearwater, FL, here's a warning. US 19 is NOT your friend. My intersection at Drew and 19 was in the top 5 deadliest intersections in the entire country. Yes, they've raised 19 and put in exits and that helps, but not enough. Please remember if you're in Pinellas/Pasco counties, 19 is not your friend!!

My husband and I just lost a close family friend in a motorcycle wreck due to the driver of a car failing to yield a left turn. Our friends, a married couple both 47, were on an 800lb Harley approaching an intersection when they were hit head on by another 47 year old woman driving a sedan. Our friend’s wife was thrown from the bike into a ditch and died on impact (she was wearing a helmet that was not damaged). He was thrown into another car. He lost his left leg a few inches above the knee, has 3 broken lumbar vertebrae, several broken ribs, broken collarbone, broken shoulder (not sure if it’s his humerus or scapula), and just had hip surgery. He has a really long hospital stay ahead of him, on top of losing his wife whom he had been married to for only 2 years. He was going the speed limit, the speedometer of his bike was stuck at 38mph when my husband and and father in law recovered the bike; the speed limit was 40 mph in that section. His bright, aftermarket headlights were also on, and it happened in the afternoon. The woman who hit them claimed that she couldn’t see them, but there was at least 200 yards of straight road that they were coming from, so it would have been impossible to miss them if she had actually looked.

This shit is why I dnt ride on motorcycles & why I dnt drive if I have ANY alcohol/anything for I have severe Narcolepsy & that alone is a recipe for disaster & I REFUSE to endanger myself or other's & due to this level of self-awareness I've not been driving when losing consciousness nor had anything in my system that exacerbated it.
