I'm glad no one got seriously hurt by the Kangaroo. The guy did a great job of keeping it at bay. I'm sure he was much more scared than he let in, but he did a great job. Not hurting the animal but not letting it hurt anyone else as well.

It's not that bad, really. The biggest land based predator (outside of the Salties) is a just medium sized dog (the Dingo or Warragul), no bigger than a Coyote and usually much less aggressive. We have no bears (Koala is NOT a bear) The only felines are domestic cats gone feral, so no Lions or Tigers, Cougars (except the 2 legged variety, I guess) etc. Sure the Wedge tail Eagle is huge, and makes the Bald Eagle look like a sad crow in comparison. And we live with most of the really dangerous snakes. The adult big red Kangaroos, (twice the size of that adolescent in the video) or even the Foresters could rip your guts out if they wanted to, I guess. The Emu is pretty nasty if it wants to be. We actually lost a war against them (to be fair we deserved it, after we made the Tasmanian sub species extinct 😞) OK, yeah, the Red Back Spider can be a pain (literally, I've been bitten by one, it's not pleasant... but those necrotic lesions we saw in the video are rare from those, there are other spiders that can do that, like the US's Brown Recluse) And they're nothing compared the Funnel Web..... The Salties can be a problem, but just like the sharks (esp White Pointers, Bull, Tiger, Mako etc) if you don't go swimming in their kitchen, you'll be OK. Oh.. that goes for the Blue ringed Octopus, Irukandji jellyfish, Bluebottle etc.. best to avoid beaches in the northern latitudes entirely from October to May. Oh wait... you're right, stay home ;-)

Not really. Far more scary animals in other parts of the world. Snakes and spiders don’t go out of their way to bite people and kangaroos are super chill… not always though if you are a douche or get your dog to chase them. And id much rather be in close proximity to a kangaroo than a tiger, lion, bear, cougar or hippo.

@@iffracemhaha Im an Aussie and im 70, lived in the country most of my life, a farm for 13 years and only encountered a few tiger snakes but they dont chase you to kill and eat you like bears and mountain lions so yeah Australia is pretty safe. 😊
