Thiagarajan Kumararaja is an Indian film director and screenwriter. He made his feature film debut with the critically acclaimed gangster film Aaranya Kaandam (2011), which earned him the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director at the 59th National Film Awards.
Super Deluxe is an upcoming Indian Tamil language thriller film written and directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja of Aaranya Kaandam fame. It features Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Samantha, and Ramya Krishnan as leads in separate segments while Mysskin, Gayathrie, Naveen, Vijay Ram, Abdul Jabbar, and Bagavathi Perumal are also in this movie. P.S. Vinod and Nirav Shah are handling cinematography, while Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director. Directors Nalan Kumarasamy, Neelan, and Mysskin are reportedly co-writers.

If you see his interviews with Tamil KZbin channels, most of them keep sucking up to him and in the end the interview is worthless and we learn nothing about his craft.

Other thing is he realizes that ppl expect a lot from him in every interview so he opens up a little more than before rather being shy and reserved all the time. And also saw his interview with Aashameera (Cinema Express) 2 times. His more casual ones with The Hindu where he just talks with Ramya Krishnan was also great. I love his interviews but he never opens up about his craft unless the host is asking the right questions.

And if a craftsman is not used to giving interviews, let him be, or let him get used to it. No need to bully him. TK was literally suffocating towards the middle and the end.

The anchor body language and tone of voice sound like interrogating the director. I think the anchor is not a Tamil native, it is understandable probably he is eager to know how the director thinks, but he must know that there is no a single perfect concept. In Malayalam industry, which i think the anchor native is from has so many thousands of fantastic films, actors and directors. He must learn from them. Tamil directors and actors and technicians formula for success is they learn from all the artists around their states, especially Malayalam art. Its just that Tamil directors and actors and technicians know how to synthesis the art in a way that can be presented in a way the audience would accept. I suggest the anchor see more Tamil anchors how they interview directos and see vijay sethupathi interview. He must know how a certain director philosophy and ask the right question to get the right idea.
