Grenade pistol allows you to run Gas grenades vs bugs, which are absolutely GOATED vs the faction, which is enough reason to bring it if you're not running explosive primary/supports.

I disagree with one. Against illuminate p-19 redeemer is A tier. It has a nice utility breakpoint where a single magazine can rip off a harvester shield fast and efficiently. It can also rip ship shields in like 1.5 mag. Does depend on the build though. A lot of good builds dont need shield stripping solved by a secondary.

@@thiccfila Yeah it’s pretty niche in some builds at the moment. Thats only because AMR, machine gun are at the top of the illuminate roost currently. You’ll feel it when you run auto cannon, recoiless spear etc. Once the illuminate tanks come in and real anti tank weapons are needed redeemer will be even more prevalent. For instance- Crossbow, recoilless. Punisher plasma- spear Torcher- wasp Scorcher-commando Unless you wanna be pigeon holed into strafing run or orbital gatling for shields the redeemer becomes an S Tier pick at that point. Especially since stratagems have a bit of a range restriction. It does what you want a side arm to do, fill in the weakness. It’s actually a pretty solid side arm for melting watchers in a pinch and i’d rate it against voteless over a lot of other secondaries.

I agree with most of this list but I’ve gotta say: Senator is S tier for every faction. IMO the guns are really well balanced except for the default pistol, should have a bit more damage to compete with the machinepistol. But alas, we live in a Boolean world, for something to be good you need something to suck ass.

It has uses for every faction as well as that cool factor. For bugs it's a charger leg breaker and stalker killer. For squids it's an overseer popper, and for bots it's literally good against everything except for tanks and maybe berserkers. Hulks, can be two shot and everything else can be one-shot like devastators, striders, and troopers.

Recoilless, x-bow, and dagger is a STRONG combo, but I can't kill anything other than small bots with the dagger(skill issue, I know). I prefer to run HMG for hulks and gunships, supply pack or guard dog depending on mission, tendi to pop dev heads, and verdict for my OH SHIT(beserkers and jet brigade usually)

My go to builds all include the dagger. Love me some fire DOTs that I can put on everything chasing me while running away. For illuminate the xbow or eruptor and an HMG, MG, or laser cannon all make the dagger work. Some people like the scythe/grenade pistol but I like the explosive primary/ dagger combo more. More options like hitting overseers with eruptor and finishing with dagger, more ammo all together, and the shrapnel can delete drops of voteless when they land.

While I won't say you're wrong about the crisper vs bots, I will say that it has come in handy when facing down squads of berserkers and even devastators that get within close range of me. Having to fight those shielded devastators up close is a pain, but the flames bypass the shield and kill it quick.

Something important to know about the Baton when going against Voteless is that it can chop off their legs in one swing if you aim for them. That's why I prefer it over the spear: even though you get more range, the baton will chop off voteless legs at a faster rate.

I regularly run the redeemer against squids to bullet dump shields. i typically run amr and purifier, which leaves a hole of breaking shields. Redeemer fits this niche category quite well

Mid Senator ranking against bugs is a crime! Alpha Commanders eat up so much of your ammo on higher difficulties depending on what you're running, but a few head taps from a Senator and they become completely trivial, as long as you have a good horde clearing primary or support weapon you're golden :)

DCS and Verdict is a godlike combo for bots. The medium armor pen and more ammo than the senator helps it wreck everything from a trooper to a strider with ease. Support is up to you, but i usually run RR, but AMR and HMG are both very valid additions

The best stun lance build I've found is for Automatons and using both eagle smoke as an offensive push, with smoke grenade as an emergency. Light peak Physique and shield pack is also a must for max mobility with Eruptor for range and chaff. Killed 3 hulks side by side with the lance using this build.

I feel like the regular pistol secondaries (Redeemer, Peacemaker) need like 10 mags to be actually usable as proper backup guns depending on loadout. You’d be able to use the Redeemer as a pseudo smg. It has low damage, range, and poor recoil so it wouldn’t be OP. You kinda have to mag dump to properly kill stuff, so 10 mags would still go quickly but 4 is just abysmal.

Hot take but I like the Crisper against bots. It can drop reinforced striders and destroy tank heat sinks pretty quickly. I've encountered it being very useful when rushing those artillery cannon objectives which have you in CQB with bots and near those short cannon turrets.

Grenade launcher was my first bought and yet lest used stratagem weapon. When the g-pistol came out and it did everything I wanted the launcher to do without needing to dodge player-seeking-ricochets as well as the mass of firepower that the grenade was blooped into action to deal with I never looked back. Barely used any other secondary since then outside of trying a few memes builds. The support weapon GL REALLY needs to be explode on contact or have a variant/fire-mode that is.

Redeemer in C tier for Bugs is criminal Melts Stalkers if you can aim for the head, shreds anything smaller than a Hive Guard. Especially if you can hit heads on Hunters, it’s 1 bullet for Hunter heads

@ in my experience, it works fine even on 10s. I often run crossbow on bugs and having a weapon that’s high DPS for close range is amazing. As said 1 taps hunters to the head, so shoot a quick burst of 2-3 bullets at the head and you’ll hit, with it’s nice mag size that’s a lot of Hunters in 1 mag, knocks heads of Warriors in just a few shots, and when Stalkers get close, just unload into the area where the head is and you’ll hit enough to kill in about 1/3 - 1/2 a mag. And since it gets all 4 mags back from 1 ammo box, it’s pretty sustainable you just can’t be unloading constantly. It’s an answer to when things get close. I tried using Verdict, but it does not 1 tap Hunter bodies, so the TTK on a swarm of Hunters is quite low as it’s ergonomics are lower than the Redeemer as well as it’s fire rate and mag size

I learned very very early on that berserker are slower than your walk speed. Any one handed weapon you can simply walk away from them and shoot them. Double check this if you wear heavy armor tho

But honestly i wish they made peacemaker better same with dagger (on bots its good tho but i think if they buffed him it would be still balanced compare to our sentor) peacemaker should have more ammo having 90 ammo with that damage and compare him to his older brother verdict wnich also has like 90 ammo i think is just sad. If peacemaker got like 7 mags instead of 5 and also maybe like bit more damage it would be useful as tool to kill smaller targets maybe like 85 Also i think all laser *beam* weapons need buffs to be better on illuminate and bugs
