I LOVE this headboard! I can't wait to see how it turns out. Just a little .... hack? on cutting foam. Use an electric carving knife. Like one you would use for carving a turkey. Works great!

Of all the projects I’ve ever seen you do, THIS ONE I could’ve helped out with! IDK if the apartment y’all are working on allows you to put holes in the wall but hanging it imo is easier. A tip I picked up working at a fabric store is use an electric knife to cut your foam. That’s what we used in the store. Cuts like butter 😊

Was just coming in with the same electric carving knife suggestion. I worked with foam quite a bit for a while, and that was my tool of choice. (note: It was also the tool of choice for the foam shop where I bought my foam pieces, and I just followed their lead.)

I learned many years ago that the best thing to cut foam is an electric knife (as in, from the kitchen). I often see them in thrift stores, so you might be able to pick one up for a couple of bucks.

Dani, I love watching and learning from your channel. BUT, sometimes you leave out details I would love to know. Like, how did you decide on the amount of fabric you got? How did you decide how deep/wide/tall to make the headboard? Certainly you planned that all out before you cut anything? Ya know what I mean? Are you picking up what I’m putting down? Also, why did you cut out strips of foam and glue them around the edge instead of glueing a solid piece of foam onto the plywood. Is the front of the headboard cushy (besides the thickness of the fabric)? I always look forward to your uploads, thanks!!
