The cut quality looks VERY good.

The edge start seems totally logical for the 3/4 thick. Cut is pretty good considering.

Do you have any videos of pierce cutting a 3/4 plate. Am interested to see if the hypertherm 85 can do it.

Very nice cuts!

You may already know this but, Sheetcam also has the ability to chain parts within a specified distance and if the start points are within that distance of each other. I reduce my pierces that way or edge starts.
@turbocobra6 жыл бұрын
I didnt know that, so if you nest them close enough it will join certain lines and cut them as one ?
@ironken17966 жыл бұрын
@@turbocobra Yes, the only issue is that if there are inside profiles in the part, Sheetcam can't chain. I'm away from my machine so from memory....when you create a jet cutting operation, there is a box that says something like "chain length". It is in the same area as "overcut", etc. Sheetcam will chain if the end point of one part is within the specified distance of the start point of another. Usually, I can chain 2-4 parts together by moving start points near each other then I have to continue nesting for another group and so on. It can cut your pierce count in half or more. Check it out.....lemme know if it works for you.

Looks like you've got it dialed in Gary.

Nice! What’s the purpose of the half circle at the beginning of each cut?
@turbocobra6 жыл бұрын
its actually the arc'd lead in and lead out for the pierce or edge start. You can have it do an arc, straight, tangent, perp, etc. Arc is believed to work best in most situations

Do you know what happened to the Trucut folks ? I went to visit them and it is like they vanished without a trace. The did the signs on my business in 2010 before they got into RC enterprises.

Yes sir, Powermax85

Ramsey Customs - turbocobra thought so, easy cut with 3/4” non pierce. My Hyperthem 45xp can edge cut 1” no problem it seems like. They made great prouducts I’m an hour away from Hyperthem I need to go see the factory in NH. 👍🏻

I really dont get it. i order from a laser cutting place and they get terrible results
@turbocobra6 жыл бұрын
I hear ya. I have some laser cut parts here that look worse than my plasma parts. If the laser is running on a table or gantry that is not rigid or stable, it will have a rough cut edge.
