On March 8, 2022, police responded to a Kwik Trip convenience store after receiving a retail theft complaint in La Crosse, WI. A man allegedly stole multiple food items and consumed them in the store's restroom without paying. When police made contact with him, he became upset and resistive to the point where he kicked his fresh bottle of strawberry milk all over the ground.

Damn right. I've seen probably more than a hundred bodycam videos and that's the hardest I've ever seen an officer try in front of a suspect to get another officer to back off. Not only did she repeatedly refuse, her reasons were clearly based on personal venom. In all likelihood the other officer felt that the way she was holding the suspect was overboard, not only inflicting more physical discomfort than necessary but further endangering the officers by escalating the suspect's rage. She does not belong in police work.

I do think it is the fact that they might get a charge I think it is more the fact that may people are not confrontational because the way things are today if you interfere with a POS like this they are liable to pull out a knife or gun. Unless you are ready to defend against someone that has a weapon let Law Enforcement do it as it is there job. Third party encounters can go from 0 to 100, and someone ends up dead really quick. @@BrianSmith-xs9vn you call him a pos, but who are you to call him that? What makes you so much better than him, when you know nothing about him other than a short video. For all we know he could have been a hardworking family man that may have lost his whole family in a house fire and just gave up on life because of mental illness. He could maybe be a soldier that did acts that saved other soldiers lives, and gotten medals for it, and then suffered ptsd and lost everything. Yes he's made bad decisions to steal and act out. Yes he doesn't care about following the law, because he probably has nothing. How would you act if you had NOTHING? I'm not mad at you or trying to attack you in any way, I'm not trying to make you feel bad either. I was younger and I thought similar to what you commented. Now that I'm older, and recognize other people's struggles, and failures, I realized that talking down to or judging someone, doesn't help anything or anyone. I literally know someone who died from being kicked in the chest because it just so happened that the timing of the kick interferred with the electrical activity in his chest and his heart stopped. Yes he's made bad decisions but at some point you have to take responsibility for those decisions and the police even said that every time he wants to fight. I just think when you continue to be violent and lie about it you have to reach a point that is like his behaviour is not acceptable and if he does need help he needs to accept that he has issues because no one can change anything for him if he wont admit what he's doing wrong and what he needs help with, the police also have families and I don't think they deserve to be hurt.

That female officer is a prime example of why so many individuals are critical of female officers. Her fellow officers had direct, physical control of a suspect, a suspect who was physically noncompliant, and whose noncompliance was only worsening by the number of hands on them. Rather than doing as her fellow officers instructed, and back away so they could attempt to deescalate, she let her pride get hurt, and she refused, then proceeded to continue to escalate the situation by taking out her verbal frustrations on the suspect. I don't care how noncompliant a suspect is, you're doing nobody any favors by being socially combative as an officer. All she did during her entire time on scene was make the situation worse for her fellow officers.

I've seen people do this at convenience stores, and it's ridiculous. And dont preach about them being poor or homeless. The few homeless I've seen come around will actually take out the trash, sweep the lot, do any little task for the store in exchange for food, drinks, or cigarettes. Trust me, those I've seen stealing aren't the homeless ones.

Bro idk about your dream world your living in but that would never happen. if u did that where I’m at they’d yell at you and kick you out. They don’t even let homeless people in stores here.

Where do you live? I've never seen that kind of stuff in my life. The most I've seen is someone offering to wash windows for money in the parking lot. Usually they just stand outside the door and ask people for money. And I've been homeless, so I know how it is. I dont know a single store that would allow someone who is not employed with them to do tasks for the store. That's a liability risk. Maybe if it was a small corner store owned by one dude who got to know you real well, he might let you do that, but definitely not 99% of stores.

@@drtygingerale73 I was going to be mad, but you broke my judgmental exterior and see the chances we give people. I work at a gas station. And if you need food or water or a kids short on cash or if you just need a hand, ask and I oblige. No human should go hungry. I'll tell them my next shift and have a Ükrainian homemade meal waiting for them. Borsche is the most popular. I always thought most people in my country of America hated beets but guess not.

I used to work in retail and i absolutely hated it because we would get people who would try and do the exact same thing except they would try and fill the entire cart up with stuff and try to walk out the doors only for management to stop and kick them out😂 and me being a courtesy clerk I couldn’t do anything about it 🤦🏻‍♂️
