Just to clear things up, Looking Glass made both System Shock 1 (1994) and System Shock 2 (1999). Both are amazing and yet again groundbreaking games for the immersive sim genre. To compare to its modern Arcane studio counterparts, Thief is like Dishonored and System shock is like Prey (it was gonna be called neuroshock originally). Also Bioshock was a spiritual successor of the devs who formed a new company. Mandalore has videos on both System shock games and are definitely worth a watch I think.

Yeah there were a LOT of Thief fan missions. To the point there's entire youtube channels that just play them. They've been going for 25 years and haven't run out yet.

Fan missions for Thief are insane, I been playing them for years. Doom, Quake, Thief and Morrowind always got the best mods due to time and dedicated fans who over the years pick up some serious gamedev skills. Dawn of War too plus you have alot to pick.

The keepers were in Thief 1. They took Garrett in when he was an orphan living on the streets, and they trained him. Garrett left the keepers before the start of the first real mission in the first game.

HAPPY MANDALOREGAMING REACTION ANNIVERSARY XERO! (It was on the 20th, and Wow, that's was a mouthful) But yeah, if there's anything I've learnt over the years, is that modders are the best source for innovation in gaming nowadays, since they very much so extend the lifespan of any game attached to it, plus even expanding the world and lore in facinating ways If there was any suggestion on where to go next, it would most likely be System Shock, as the 'Looking Glass' devs also worked on it, but other than that, probably his series on either 'Amnesia' or 'Dead Space' Also yeah, I too know only of the Black Parade song XD, which I only heard through a HL2/Eve Online series

Thief 4 is just a dishonored clone, you hide to protect the guards, most of your money and upgrades aren't about making sneak easier, but enabling mass slaughters. Thief 4's levels are just these linear halls where you might, if you look carefully, be blessed with a side corridor to go around something. There's a 2 hour video out there where someone compares all thief levels, the maps in every other game, even Deadly Shadows, are all circles linking into circles, while its just a haunted house ride for 4.

Imo Hifumi best girl. I think she's really funny and enjoy the chuuni side of her character, but I also personally relate to her backstory.

Not really. If you're familliar with modding any PC game it's actually pretty simple. TFix is just a simple exe installer, and there are plenty of guides on installing fan missions out there
