Thief tries to steal gold chain only to find the store door locked

CCTV captured the moment Suphachai Panthong, 27, walked into the store in Choburi, Thailand, on November 30 and asked to try on a gold necklace worth £500. The thief put the chain round his neck and spent a few moments pretending to admire it before suddenly turning on his heels and sprinting towards the exit. But the hapless crook's escape was foiled after the owner Jarae Nitikarun, 41, had locked the door when he became suspicious.

This kid isnt taking from the rich and giving to the poor, he is a thug trying to get something shiny without paying for it. If society did not value useless items like gold and jewels, the poor would not be pressured to steal them, and the rich would not be pressured to hoard them. We need automated agriculture and low income housing to solve the problem of poverty, not petty theft. The entire system must be overhauled and fixed so that the poor are not scammed in the first place.
