No, no one "deserves" anything. The justice system should not be about giving people the punishment they "deserve". The only legitimate purpose of incarceration is to keep society (as well as the inmates) safe. But incarceration by itself is not a solution to crime. It never discourages the type of crime in this video - crime done for money by poor and desperate people. You saw that this man was terrified to go to jail, but he did the crime anyway. Notice that rich and middle class people never commit armed robberies, it's only ever poor people. He was willing to intimidate and strike fear in innocent people and he is begging to just be let out of the store so he can what? Continue committing crimes and in general be a danger to society. @@mikalyonsoneal9890 ~ amen Mika! People need to realize there is a difference between the thief on the cross who was truly repentant for his crimes vs Judas Iscariot who was not. I remember as a child I was sorry I got caught, vs when I was much older and Jesus granted me true repentance.
