This VOD, channel, streamer, is basically the highlight of my week. Don't be overwhelmed by the quests. Just do them when you feel like it. Skyrim is meant to be explored though so don't be afraid to ignore the quests on occasion and just explore. There is stuff all over just waiting to be found.

Someone asked me my advice to a new player a few weeks ago and it was exactly that. Don't feel pressure from your quest log. You can accept all you want and pick the ones you want to do when you want to do them or just explore and do none of them.

She's pretty leisurely and calm about her playthrough, even stops to eat and sleep in a non survival game. Rarely if ever fast travels, You should watch it from the start, she's having an amazing playthrough

It's funny how you warn her of the sneak eye 👁 but you don't warn her of the fact you only want to burn 3 of the beehives and not all of them 😅 I know it's a stupid mistake to make cause it happened to me first time had to look it up after brynyolf scolded me for mucking up the job

Tbh Lucy it's all upto you and your journey. You will find most of the time you goto do a mission then you get like 5 more lol. Always check the weapons Lucy as that bloke in the sewers had a orcish bow bet that was better then both yours and Lydia's. The axe your using is a orcish axe if you check the skills menu it tells you walhat level you have to be in smithing to make. It's a good key reference to what's better then what you and lydia have. Enjoyed that your slowly picking through and findout new stuff. Chip away Lucy then select how you feel. Like you have so far theirs loads of houses which you can move your family to if you prefer them there. Can even build your own in certain places. keep doing it your way and loving the journey lass. These just fly by to quick for my liking lol.

Such an amazing play through. Your reactions to a game I’ve played 1000s of hours are so nostalgic. Just a tip- a torch in your left hand and nothing in your right hand makes for softer light compared to the light from spells. Just another lighting option for my role play characters. EDIT: Nevermind. You figured it out. 😄👍 If you dismiss Lydia, or any housecarl follower, they automatically go to your home. You don't need to go home and then command them to stay there. Also, for role-playing, dismissing them is like giving them time off, whereas commanding them to "Stay here." is like putting them on guard duty. 😄

Loving the playthrough so far, and have been eagerly awaiting the VODs as they come out. I'd say the Companions, Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild all have pretty good questlines, so I'd recommend them all. I would say that sneaking and lock picking are more common in Dark Brotherhood, and especially Thieves Guild missions. To get more lockpicks I'd recommend clearing out more bandit encampments as bandits often carry a few picks on them (also lockpicks don't weigh anything so you can carry as many as you like). The most important thing is for you to keep on having fun exploring this game!

Something nobody really tells you in the game: Once you have done a certain amount of extra work jobs for Vex or Delvin in a certain city, you gain access to a fence and guild caches containing goodies in each city, which refill if you do not visit that city for a longer time. Whenever you talk to Vex or Delvin to start a new job, its location is randomized. Ideally, you want to do both jobs at teh same time, in the same city, and focus on that city until you unlocked its cache and fence before doing jobs in other cities. You can of course save and reload (or don't if you do not like this sort of thing), but if you do, you can quicksave just after asking for the work, but before it shows up with a message on screen/in your journal. If you do not like the location, reload, and you do not have to talk through the whole dialog again, but the job pops up with another random target. Not all jobs have the same difficulty, they may require different strategies and skills. But whenever you have job (or two) active, if you get caught by any guard for whatever, even unrelated, reason, its over and you have to try again.

There’s always some point while playing this game where you are simply overwhelmed with choices on where to go and what to do! I hope you’re able to find a way to press forward having fun one quest at a time! I can’t believe I did not play this game when it came out years ago. There must be hundreds of quests in the game for I have already played 20 hours and still have not give very far with the main story or join any of the guides yet. If your sneak marker isn't a flat line, it means someone... ANYONE can see you and it's unsafe to do anything illegal. You should simply wait for the line to go flat. If you aren't marked as hidden, don't pick locks, don't steal, don't try to pick pockets, don't tresspass. You can also use potions and/or magic items to improve sneak and pickpocket. But in dungeons you should ALWAYS be sneaking. Eventually, you'll be able to achieve HUGE attack bonuses if you attack while hidden. In fact, with good sneak, you can backstabbing, etc. With daggers, the bonus can be even better. And light armor, or even no armor, or the muffle spell can help. One of the easiest skills to raise is sneak -- all you have to do is sneak, especially in dungeons.

If you don’t mind a tip- you can find plenty of lock picks in the Ragged Flagon Cistern. Look in every chest.

I like how the creators expected that most people playing the game would intuitively know they should be occasionally resting on beds to heal up when you factor in quest lines like the Dark Brotherhood which don't activate unless you rest in a bed.

I'm old enough to be your grandfather ,started playing Skyrim 11 years ago , after I built my first water cooled computer , Skyrim it is very addictive .. I chose, not to kill the main good Dragon 🐉 , I also never pick a side for war .. I did fallow through on the dark brotherhood and also to become a learn how to become a thief .. Yet I don't steal anything from.others .. I have 5 house total .. I don't use mods .. Saved game before becoming a werewolf or a vampire , just to see how I would like it , didn't care to be them after trying it .. I believe I been to 95% on all places on the map .. It's sorta funny watching somebody else that likes playing and learning this game .. Myself , I see no end to go this game ...

You can trigger bear traps so that Lydia won't step on them. Just stand close to the trap and there'll be an option to activate it. The note from Dark Brotherhood is depiction of Black Hand, the inner circle of Dark Brotherhood. The note itself IS invitation to join the group, while the killing is more like a test. (You could actually kill Astrid and start the 'Destroy The Dark Brotherhood' instead, but what's done is done) Ustengrav, the tomb near the shack Astrid brought you in, is actually the place where you should find the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. Also, you can adopt up to two children. It'll unlock more interractions, especially between the children. My recommendation is the one orphan girl at Windhelm, but you can also take one from the Orphanage.

Explore the Thieves Guild HQ (Cistern) a bit more. There are some people to talk to, some chests to train lockpicking, and a ladder that DIRECTLY leads to Riften, unlocking a new fast travel point to the TG entrance.

There's a spare set of thieves guild armor in one of the practice halls by the cistern if you want a matching set for Lydia. It's split up around the place, which also has some decent chests for lockpicking practice

You should totally go see the jarl of Falkreath, a carriage can take you there. If you do the job he offers you, you will be able to build your own house at Lakeview Manor, easily the most beautiful spot in all of Skyrim. Lucia and all the other children love that place, and you can decorate it however you please. You even build every furniture yourself, and you chose which sections you wanna add to the house. Just be careful not to have Lydia around there until you get another follower who will take the role as a steward at your house, or Lydia will offer to be the steward, and you’ll have to make her the steward. After you have a steward there, feel free to bring her there

When you sneak and see the eye symbol open, it means someone is seeking you. You want to wait until you see -.- and Hidden, then it is safe to do your stealthy work. But since people walk around, it's best to keep an eye on the eye symbol. Later on, when you have a high stealth level and invested a few perk points, you can more or less operate in broad daylight and still remain undetected.

I think the idea about the smaller inns not having doors is that they can keep an eye on you, but also make sure no one bothers you or steals your stuff as you are just across from the Inns counter.

Best episode yet :D. I love the introduction to the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild has my favourite story arc in Skyrim so I hope you continue them. Lucy dark playthrough incoming? :P If you do decide to continue through those factions, some tips: * Stick to light armour as it will improve your chances of sneaking. I'm sure you'll keep on the thieves guild armour * Level up sneak and pickpocket, this is pretty much required for thieves guild quests both story and side quests. You could level lockpicking too but honestly if you are good enough at it you don't really need to invest in it. * Always make sure you are in sneak when stealing whether its pickpocketing, lockpicking or just taking stuff. Otherwise you'll continue to get arrested. I can't wait to see what you do next!

Thieves’ Guild is lucrative and has good loot. Dark Bros have a good storyline and are also lucrative. I’ve played through Skyrim Many Times; only faction I refuse to join is Stormcloaks. But that’s Me. Enjoy your playthrough.

A fun option is to kill Astrid which will give you the quest to kill the Dark Brotherhood. Generally not the recommended approach since you lose out on a really good questline and other benefits. But, the fact that is even an option is pretty cool.

Galathil the face sculptor was added to the game for people who wanted to change their appearance. On PC we can easily use the Console to go back into the character creation options but on consoles they don't have that option. Hence adding Galathil.

if there is any quests you don't feel like you should do based on your character/personality/playstyle, it's totally okay to ignore them. Skyrim has so so so many quests and adventures. play the game however you want and at your own speed, that's the beauty of this game.

You can give sweet rolls, apple pies, boiled creme treats, honey nut treats and, of course, apples 🍎 to Lucia, and sometimes Belethar or the Khajiits sell clothes for the kids ☺️😉🥰…Hulda in the Bannered Mare sells the treats☺️

While in Skyrim, you kind of have to set your own moral compass aside, or you'll spend the whole game running away from everything and just picking flowers. Everyone who has played this game has done the same things and been faced with the same choices as you, so no judgment... This has been a very enjoyable playthrough, and I'm already looking forward to the next episode!

Since you didn't get the joke of Dirge's name via not knowing the definition of the word: A dirge is a song that's played at a funeral. It's a category of classical music meant to lament the dead and departed and is generally very low-tempo and sad. So his joke is about how he's the last thing you hear before you're put in the ground and it's meant to be very menacing sounding.

Riften is my favourite city in the game. I usually join the Thieves Guild as they have a good selection of quests. Plus it's near the entrance to the Dawnguard.

Thieves Guild is a bit of a pain, but it's one of the few complete questlines. They aren't the worst people in the world, they avoid murdering marks. They do pay decently for jobs easier than jarl bounties. Keerava is one of my favorite NPCs. I love her tart tongue. I actually fail the ring quest on purpose to keep Brand-shei as a merchant, also he has a cool story. Delvin is my favorite in Thieves Guild. There is spare armor lying around in Thieves Guild but only an unarmored NPC like Faendal or Sven would probably wear it. Dark Brotherhood also has cool armor and good money ,but harder questline to get through.The wizard in the blue robes who said hello in Morthal is who you need to cure you of vampirism, should you become one and not want it. Most people do Thieves Guild but Companions is a little easier than that or Dark Brotherhood. Thieves Guild has a connected quest that gives some of the best weapons and armor in the game, but it is not easy ,the beehive quest starts it.

The Companions and Theives Guild quests are pretty fun. The Dark Brotherhood Quests....are fun too, but Assassins dont always kill people who deserve it and that might be a problem for some players.

Hi Lucy, spoiler free advice: Before you join anything and start a new questline, I suggest you to do 1 more step with the greybeards. It is meant to do early game(very easy, just retrieve the horn to them) and it gives you a very skyrim iconic reward. Thieves Guild or DB? Just follow your heart haha, do you want to be a thief or an assasin? either choice is great

When something is marked steal and then you take it and there are witnesses you get a bounty and the guards will come for you. Also when you get a bounty, which is shown in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, the guards will come for you.

I would suggest furthering the Dragonborn quest line at least one or two more quests. You can switch out your standard armor with Thieves Guild armor before you do guild jobs. Also, RP it a little more, i.e., do it at night, stay hidden, watch for guards, buy or make more lock picks, get a better weapon for those kind of quests, use potions, etc. Heavier armor makes more noise. You can increase your sneak skills just by sneaking around and staying hidden. Wait for NPC's to sleep and be out of LOS before killing another NPC - there is a sneak attack bonus with daggers and bows; same goes for stealing items.

I always stay with the main quest and do the side quest later… That would be to continue with becoming the Dragonborn & the Greybeards quest. The Thieves guild starter quest was the Golden-glow Estates. And the Dark Brotherhood had an unspoken option to kill Astrid, (kill one person to leave the room), which has a completely different line of quest afterwords. - Note: Dark brotherhood & Thieves guild both require lots of sneaking, so far you haven’t been Leveling Up in "Sneak", so you’ll probably get caught… (food for thought). Buty of Skyrim is, do it your way... just have fun. :o)

Sneak everywhere unless you are talking to someone, to level up sneak quickly. Backstabbing while hiding, or hiding while shooting a bow also increases Sneak and does extra damage. You will need better stealth for the Guild quests. You can also get by with invisibility. Invisibility is an expert level Illusion spell, but much easier to get with a potion. Fairly easy recipe.☺ If you don't want freebies, I would accept a 100 septim donation to the Temple of Mara in Riften. I also have some skooma if you're interested... hehe.

The game kind of railroads you into joining the Thieves' Guild, although you don't have to. I wish you could combat them if you wished to play more virtuously. When you were trapped in the shack, there was someone else you could have killed if you thought of it. AND...holy cow. I never knew you could take a Riften horse if you helped Shadr. That's cool.

Both the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood. Both have really good questlines. Have you tried cooking? Vegetable Soup is really useful.

Don't worry about the amount of quests. This game is big, it's not unusual to put something on the backburner for several real life hours or even days.

When you collect the protection money, the third person will have heard of the other two and will just pay up. So you only need to "convince" the first two.

In every playthrough of my Skyrim adventures I allways wanted to decide for myself what I will do or not. So I nevver played the thiefsguild or the dark brotherhood. Theme "A criminal can't rescue the world". Instead of killing one of the three poor guys, I killed Astrid. But now I am interested to follow your criminal future! :)

Funny, in Fallout, I've never sided with evil factions like the Legion over a good/neutral faction like the NCR. But in Skyrim, when presented with the choice of doing a faction or skipping it entirely, I always do the faction, even if it's evil.
