I've always been under the impression that money storage facilities are banks with a vault.

Lol yea. This was a holding facility for federal bills. banks don't usually have that kind of money in their vaults and if they do the bills are marked. These bills were unmarked, i.e untraceable. Also, these bills WERE in a vault that the robbers somehow got into
