Use a Uniball Signo 207 pen. A 3 dollar pen, the ink cannot be washed!

Makes no difference if the bank doesn’t even bother to look at the check before cashing it.

Uh thieves now r no longer washing away checks instead they’re using adobe photoshop now to successfully alter checks digitally including checks written with Uniball Signo 207 pens & to create counterfeited checks. So with mobile deposits away from banks fraudulent activity is not detected as easily.

USBank is pathetic they could easily resolve this problem but they don’t want to refund the poor man. It’s been 3 years and they’re still investigating?!? I call Bull, this poor veteran needs his money. USBank held a check of mine for over 7 days once and they didn’t want to release the funds to me until about 2 weeks later, they didn’t do this to a friend of mine who had the same check with the same bank.

I am messing with US Bank now over my brothers estate, two and a half years so far. The worst bank I have ever had to deal with, collectively they have an IQ of a rock.

@@MS-st1zb call the news that’s the only remedy I’ve seen work, they act like they’re “working on it” but when the news expose them they all of a sudden resolve the problem immediately.

2:05 I am shocked. Any bank cashing that check are in on the crime. That check is very obviously altered. At this point, sue your own bank for fraud. They should never have accepted this check.

The criminal used the bank app to deposit the cheque so that a real person would not see it before cashing. I suspect an actual teller would not deposit it.

Any bank that cashes an altered check should be held libel for the amount of the check. Also, get a copy of the ID. Also, any check for large amount of money should be deposited on the check cashers bank account and let their bank cask the check. That way you have a paper trail.

SUCH an unnecessary vulnerability. SMH. Up here in Canada, any and ALL cheques (aka checks to Americans) are DIRECT DEPOSITED to ones personal bank account. Be it monthly Provincial payments or larger Federal Income Tax Rebates, NO cheques go through the mail. This also allows seamless flow of funds to citizens, should a Postal Strike be eminent. Should someone close their account, that is filed for receiving government funds, then it is up to that individual to inform the government of the change. NO lost or stolen for fraudulent means cheques anymore! Catch up America! Your citizens don't need to rely upon antiquated systems any more! Sigh...

Lol. Here in Canada, the bank is liable for failing to verify the check. Why do you think that most of these reports avoid mentioning the bank’s total lack of verification process? Because in the US, banks are no longer liable. Because of that, checks are a no longer a safe way to transfer money.

Walmart has one of thee best camera surveillance systems ever. Why wasn't footage pulled from the OUT-OF-STATE store and this man given his money back. The footage would have probably shown a thief who does this all of the time. They could have potentially protected others in the process

Isn't this what regulation is for? Have the banks pay back any of these fraud cases within 30 days with interest and an inconvenience fee. If they don't, they lose their business license. I assure you that the banks will suddenly be able to verify checks for withdrawals.

If the FBI knew this they could do the government trace the check numbers the person who wrote out the checks to these folks are the only ones that have the check numbers that's how you trace them you call the individual where the check came from and it has to be by the government wherever the check came from is who you call that wrote out the checks has the check number in their checkbooks this is how they've done it before to the FBI is tracking and post office can be held responsible for the people they hire could be penalized for thousands of dollars that were stolen from your clients who trusted in the Postal Service it is a Federal offense for someone to cash Federal check State checks any checks of any kind should be put up on charges on every account every check that he has stolen and cashed including forgery of the identity on the check including cashing the check and Bank should have been held accountable for not noticing or recognizing phony checks as always they were held accountable years ago over not recognizing stolen checks and fraudulent checks this needs to be addressed by all post offices but the government officials need to start setting down cracking down on the government post office as well because a lot of them have higher groups with criminal backgrounds I have nothing against it but it is not acceptable behavior of owners who run these post offices allowing postmasters to open checks up also in the Gresham branch including State letters that belong to people that have personal information is not given the right to open State checks state federal letters of any kind is none of that postmasters business or post manager the one that used to work in Gresham had dark brown hair brown eyes opened up State mail that was mine snooping through the mail and Portland postmaster down to him because of her excuses she got away with lying to the Portland postmaster and cause personally injury to someone who lived in Gresham stealing her personal information off of her State papers should Portland post office be held accountable for the liability of this females rights yes the post manager she was on the medium heavy set side the victim and the perpetrator got into it because she had stated it out loud for everyone in the post office to hear it that you could not open State mail she did it anyway by violating the victim in front of someone who was her client she also changed the identity background of this female's disability she's been lying this whole time living off a disability that isn't hers to live off of leaving the victim without nothing to live on.
