Thillaiganga Nagar - Adambakkam Metro work shared in this video.
Also fallen MRTS girder removal work started. Noticed steel frames placed under the damaged girder. Hope it will be removed soon, so that new girder work can be start.
Thus girder work is crucial to complete the long delayed MRTS work completion betey Adambakkam - St Thomas Mount station.
Thillaiganga Nagar to Adambakkam metro work in progress at decent speed. Still for few metres buildings has to be demolished for metro pillar construction.
Thillaiganga Nagar to Adambakkam Metro stretch is part of Chennai Metro Phase 2 Corridor 5 of Madhavaram Milk Colony - Sozhinganallur section. It is elevated section. Contractor : L&T.
Adambakkam metro station will be constructed adjacent to Adambakkam MRTS station. So it will be an important transit station in future.
At Adambakkam, metro route alignment takes right turn above Adambakkam MRTS platform towards Madipakkam road.

It’s a heartening news. Earlier they complete this section, better it is for the commuters. The Velachery- St Thomas Mount link will declutter the congested corridor and allow seamless interchange. Simultaneously they should expand the parking facilities at Velachery so that ppl can park their vehicles and take the Trains

As a civil engineer my observation is that the structure was not errected with proper care and safety. This a great insult to civil engineering. I dont know how it was handled by the contractor.. Shamefull work.

There are 5 connections like Tambaram & Egmore, MRTS to Velachery & Koyembedu & Mount Road all from St.Thomas Mount railway station. So all incoming express trains must stop ai Mount station instead of Mambalam where road transport is hard to access

This year it will be completed. If they launched MRTS girder at Thillaiganga Nagar successfully it would have been completed now. But unfortunately girder has been collapsed. Now they have removed the fallen girder. New girder will be launched soon. So this year Velachery to St Thomas Mount MRTS train service will be open to public by this year is my prediction
