Sorry but, what is the purpose of not putting the original live vocal performance on the show and instead pasting the album version?

Cause it was Tv in the 70s. No one played live

@@calkaseus wrong, in many levels. Firstly, because in this performance Phil went alone but sang live on top of the instrumental track, the complain was to the poster of this version. You can search the video with the original audio version on youtube. Secondly, it is false that in the 70s all was playback. Seriously wrong. Some shows yes. But many, many shows featured bands playing live... even in the 60s. Do your homework.
