This isn't a live recording. This is a Peel session. None the less, a great recording of an amazing song. You just cannot beat Lizzy. This is the type of song that will unfortunately never be written again because our children don't seem to have the capacity to take this type of epic masterpiece in. Nowadays it's 3 minute songs with a chorus that, somehow, is being repeated 56 times with in those 3 minutes. what the bejaysus like?

Awesome. I just met Brian and Eric and they regaled me with stories of how they made the first three albums. True legends. RIP Phil.

Wow, Robbo and Gorham trading solos on this. I thought Lizzy dropped this from the live set after Eric Bell departed. I'm a huge fan of Robbo and Gorham, but Bell's solo is a masterpiece on this one and can't be can't bettered by even them.

Bell’s solo sucks. It’s full of out of key notes. The outro solo is cringeworthy.

This is indeed one of Eric Bells original masterpieces which i must say i love the first 3 albums as much as any there is a purity within them ( bit of hero and the madman) but this is an essential version of this song and cool to hear the dual songbirds of post 73 jamming to it and also Philip's different vocal style . love it thanks for posting.

Totally mislabeled. It’s not live you can hear two Phil vocal tracks! It’s a 74 radio recording with Gary Moore.

@@charmingferret5916 People can get caught out easily with the Thin Lizzy guitarists, eh, even on the album credits sometimes. There's about seven to choose from after all… Mssrs. Bell, Robertson, Gorham, Moore, White and Sykes, plus a few more guesting… Sometimes Mr. Lynott himself even played guitar…

Great photos and a great song. I think you need to update the description though as many people, like me, assumed the song was from a 1976 gig in Bradford. I assume the photos are form Bradford and the song is unrelated?

Great version but not live, you can hear the overdubs. And Phil harmonizing himself. Maybe a radio session

Exactly, I was thinking the same. First, the gig is nowhere mentioned and second, Little Girl in Bloom was last performed live in October 1974, on Nightlife tour.
