These two songs played together like this brings on the tears...idk why, but really I do know why.

I also feel that emotion and feeling, but in the end I am smiling, shaking my head and singing. Something has this presentation, and how the two songs come together. Simply the music does it, the great Phill Lynnot and the whole band. Greetings from Mexico.

Music is a beautiful thing, I have so many happy and sad memories tied to my memory thru music and I continue to make new ones! When we really look back to the place a song takes us and miss it and wish we cherished it more at that time, those can be painful moments, for me at least.

Phil Lynott was one of the coolest, most bad ass, talented front men ever and Thin Lizzy is one of the greatest rock bands of all time. I was lucky to see their second last show in Germany. Would have been a shame to have never seen Phil live. And yes, that transition kicks ass. I always loved it.

Same as below me, where did it go? GLAD to see it back!!! lol Just finished watching another vid & alot of comments about Thin Lizzy not being in HOF ( Shame,rather, we all know politics involved ). Didn't comment there but now that I've thought more about it, it IS a shame when Abba, Madonna, Ice Cube,?? ect., are & this band, is NOT. It actually surprises me more who ISN'T there, than who IS. The politics involved plus those who do the voting I assume, as I understand it, anyways. RIP Phil.

One day while working for AT&T phone tech support i was shooting the shit with a customer and somehow thin lizzy came up (their email addy maybe?) Well it turned out that the husband was in a TL cover band. I asked her (he was there but not on with me) if they ever saw this video, and explaned how awesome the transition is. While we waited for something they got this video up and watched it. Once the transition hit "Woooow.. We're playing it like this from now on..." Hahaha.

Phil Lynott may not have been the best bass player, but he was definitely a very good songwriter and not least an eminent singer/performer. Another characteristic of Thin Lizzy was that the rhythm section played really tight and with a lot of power (perhaps not so strange since Phil played the bass). The sum of this combined with various eminent guitar players was absolutely brilliant. The band was without a doubt among the greats of their time. It's really sad that drug addiction ruined this as it has for so many other great bands and musicians. Phil unfortunately died far too young at only 36 years old due to heroin abuse.

At 7:50 Gary Moore flips somebody off. In the Live Blues for Jimi Foxy Lady at I think at around 2:30 Moore has somebody in the crowd removed with a nod of his head, a smile and a little interaction with the individual. That's power..
@danielajabenigerian99955 жыл бұрын
@matthewtaylor731610 жыл бұрын
My mistake in foxy lady the nod and smile are at 1:37 and the interaction with the fool in the crowd is at 1:52. I don't blame Moore a bit. He's busy doing his job. And I can think of a few times over the years I wish had that kinda clout.

I heard Dick Wagner say once one of the keys to a great live performance is lots of rehearsal . In addition you don't get too excited and you don't perform drunk or drugged up . Well that's his opinion . It certainly did work for one of the most legendary, greatest musically rock concerts ever for Him , Steve Hunter second lead , Prakash John bass , and rest of band in december 1973 backing Lou Reed live in NYC . Lou Reed was just the sick joker, with his talk, yell, "vocals" who wrote the songs and "sang"(although it was interesting contrast , reeds weird vocals and the bands superb playing. It was the band that made it one of the greatest ever. But then again Carlos Santana said he and band were totally stoned, f**ked up , on lsd , etc at woodstock and that was another legendary performance
