I was there. 1st saw Lizzy in 76, met the band back stage, due to the UK promoter living not far from me. Met them at most gigs I went to after that. All nice guys and sadly missed after Phil's early departure. Hard to think it's 37 years he's been gone. That was a sad sad day.

And These guys were so fucking great and could out perform any American bands out that year or any year prior. Most rock bands couldn't even come close to pyrotechnics of Thin Lizzy guitar players. Every single one was great in their own way. Damn the heroin that destroyed this great group. RIP Lynott and Moore, all the people associated with one of the greatest Rock Bands ever!!! American racism kept them from breaking big in America. Great songs and great performances with amazingly great musicians. I'm telling you that the Rock n Roll HOF is wrong for not inducting them. They have more great songs than 90% of the bands in there. Please...the "GO-GO's? Joan Jett? Kansas? etc.
