This hymn has been an Easter staple for many protestant congregations for many years. Here it is sung by the standout group Immanuelle in a traditional Jamaican reggae style, put together by the Musical Maestro Dr. Charlie Roberts. Listen out for the powerful cameo rap performance by my longtime friend and confidant John Hewlett.
This is a totally different take on the original music. I wonder how George Frederic would have ‘handeled’ it (dad joke!).
