Milady is also sooooooo good with a guard counter and bleed builds because it gets good posture damage and multi hits on every guard counter. Build could be something like: 60 vig 20 endurance 12 str 54 dex 45 arcane Weapons: Blood Infused Milday and Beast Crest Heater Shield Talisman: Millicent Prosthesis or Rotten Wing, Curved Sword Talisman, Dagger Talisman or Lord of Blood Exultation, Dragon Crest Great Shield or Crimson Seed Talisman Armour: Rakshasa and White mask if you know a bosses move set really well, or just wear what you want. Ashes of war: Cragblade, Sepuku, anything you want really. Then just use the deflecting hardtear and have fun just shredding bosses.

It's a shame the deflecting hardtear only lasts 5 minutes, I love going 2-handed milady with the 2-handed talisman and deflect rather than carry a shield most of the time

I’ve been waiting for your take on Messmer so long. I never parried anything during my first run on the base game but then I discovered your channel and now I kind of feel dirty if I don’t at least try to parry a boss before anything else. And I was stuck in Messmer for a week… no because I couldn’t kill him… because I couldn’t for the life of me figure out the parry timings. I tried regular Buckler, Carian Retaliation (and noticed the same thing about his flame magic you mentioned), the golden parry even. None of them felt better than the other and when I did get a parry it felt completely due to luck. I only managed to parry consistently 1 of his attacks. Plus, I had fought him so much I learned all of his combos to the point I was letting him kill me on random runs just so I could still try the parry Strat. In the end I gave up and killed him with double bleed daggers but felt a little dirty since for Rellana I ended up figuring out the parries. When in 30:10 you said you don’t recommend Parrying him unless you are a Parry God (like yourself of course) I really felt relief. Like I’m not the one that’s shit, its his parry windows hahahaha.

I beat the DLC knowing I wanted to use the Milady and went with a cold infusion. I absolutely love the weapon. Destroyed BAYLEEEE with it because he’s weak to it. Radahn was just ridiculous as always. But it felt super balanced with every other fight, this DLC Not only bought in one of my new favourite weapons but also 3 of my new favourite bosses in Rellana Bayle and Messmer

Holy shit subbed for the intro alone, lmao. Also keeping Bayle for last should have been my move too, but I didn't know what I was stumbling into. I had been following a guide for fragments the entire game and just wanted to explore, found Bayle, remembered there was some questline associated with him so I went and did that, and I don't regret it lmao. But I'm so pissed I had to follow a guide to get all the fragments through the entire game. I followed the guide all the way to the end and got all of the fragments. I think my next character I'm just gonna spawn them in because f collectathons in my soulslikes.

Fantastic vid as always, ThingFishy. One thing I noticed, though, is that when you dropped down into the Moorth Ruins, you used the (somewhat) unsafe fall straight down. I've actually seen a lot of content creators do this, and admittedly, I used that my first time too, but I felt sure that couldn't be the intended route-and sure enough, when I went looking around down there, I saw a cave opening above that looked drop down-able from. I had to use a map marker and finagle it around to be able to tell where it was, but when I went back up to the grace above and went to that marker up top, I found the intended route. I wish I could give better directions than that, but the best I can tell you is that it was a hidden hole/cavern type place relatively close by the Moorth Ruins, I *think* somewhere north of the big hole. I could be wrong about that orientation, though; I found it really early in my playthrough and haven't gone back there since. I hope that this is helpful, despite how unfortunately vague I'm being lol.

TYSM FOR DROPPING THIS MASTERPIECE THINGFISHY!! Having learned parrying mostly from your guide videos, it paid off very well with certain bossfight in SOTE (Def from Radahn's & Rellana's fight). Without parrying in my 1st SOTE would have got me stuck quite a long time with some boss, but in the end, I would manage to push through anyway.
