It’s always difficult dealing with emotions when our children leave home but you are doing the best thing in keeping busy. I love your blanket. The colours and stitches are fabulous. I have been a knitter since I was a little girl and,despite trying so many times to learn crochet, I could not get it then last October it just clicked. I am totally hooked and am now working on my fourth blanket. 😊

I’ve been crocheting since I was 4 or 5. My grandma taught me before I started kindergarten. The cotton might shrink some but probably not a lot. I always wash my projects on delicate and tumble dry on low for a short time to take some of the moisture out then block it. That being said, I’ve use cotton blends quite often but haven’t noticed a lot of shrinkage with that method. I suppose it depends on how much you want it to shrink. I don’t know if that helps much but it would be worth a try!😊
