One of my biggest complains about this game is that you really need a guide if you want to 100% the game and get the perfect ending. There are so many minor or minuscule things that are easily missable without a guide. To prove that point, something was missed in the opening mission before real Yuna was even revealed which I believe already locks you out of the perfect ending on a single playthrough. There's also another point later in the game where you have to make a choice, and choosing the wrong option also locks you out of the perfect ending on a single playthrough.

Getting the perfect ending requires 100% completion, which, for most people, is impossible without a guide. I'd recommend just playing the game leisurely for your first playthrough, and if you have time, you can always do the stuff you missed on New Game + (your % completion carries over to NG+). Also, do not skip cutscenes because watching them fully counts toward your % completion.

@@tuomaspuumalainen3018 It has, in my opinion, the best ATB battle system of any final fantasy to date. Combat mechanics aside, I finished it back in the day because I was a teenager and love the female trio. Retrospectively, the characters are over designed (a signature of Nomura), the character dialogue leaves you wanting and the tonal shift is jarring. At least there weren't retcons or multiple timeline non-sense. Embrace the campy and there's a lot to enjoy in this game, and I think experiencing it through Kasta's energy and enthusiasm is the best way for those who can't.

FFX battle system = CTB-Calculated Turn Based- infinite time between actions where gameplay is focused on slower methodical game play FFX-2 (and like every other final fantasy) Battle system = ATB - Active Time Battle- Active timer between attacks so you have to make actions as the battle goes on. If you take too long to make actions the battle will progress without you.

As weird as the FF X-2 opening is, I really believe that it's a call-back to the opening of FF X. Titus starts as the star, cheered on by adoring fans in a bliztball stadium. Here Yuna is the star, cheered on by adoring fans in a blitzball stadium. Yuna succeeds Titus as the player character. It's her story now!

Yes except in X the whole point was the character arc of Tidus, beginning with being famous for doing what is daddy taught him, and ending with killing his father and himself to save the world. Yuna began by doing what her daddy taught her, which was following the rules to self sacrifice and save the world, and ended breaking the rules and still saving the world. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned that, but when "Yuna" is presented in the CGI at the beginning her name shows up and then a question mark floats over it, it's really fast, that's supposed to be a hint to make you question if that's Yuna or not.

I know you skip the game intros to avoid spoilers but I'm very happy you watched the intro as it had no spoilers and you got to hear the full music track called "Eternity ~Memories of Light and Waves~" I love this music piece and you don't hear it anywhere else in the game except the intro. Again, just so happy that you listened to it.

Glad to finally see this. Mind if I take this moment to make a fun SH2/3 comment? Recall when Vincent asked Heather if they looked like monsters? In SH2, as James after you defeat your very first monster, return there later after any loading point such as Bar Neely's. It becomes a crime scene investigation. This is also true for the remake.

Fun fact about this, is that it’s where they got the battle concept for Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns. Lightning’s battle style is based on the outfits she has just like Yuna! Fun times! Enjoy this, though it’s crazy different from X.
