You’re so prepared! Have you and Kyle talked about the signs of postpartum depression/anxiety/psychosis, and what you’ll do if you start to feel any of them? It can be a pretty brutal time in the trenches. I wish I had talked to my husband about these things before the baby came since it can be hard to think clearly when you’re exhausted.

It’s so so good and feels so nice and refreshing to be able to properly wipe everything down after using the bathroom because things are so messy all the time. You are so wise to not say the due date. With my 3 people from church or family would text me everyday asking if baby was here yet. It was good intentions they were excited! 1st baby was one day “early”, 2nd was c section & third was vbac 10 days “late”. It’s so stressful when people ask because you can literally NOT control it. It’s such a beautiful mystery that no amount of modern science can predict. God made it that way if he wanted us to know He would have made it known.

I will never forget the day I turned 37 weeks with my first pregnancy, it’s like you said.. a switch flipped and I suddenly went from happy and easy going to very irritable🥲 at the time I thought maybe it was a sign labour was coming? But he wasn’t born til a day after my due date. Try and give yourself grace, the end of pregnancy is really hard physically, mentally and emotionally, even if you’ve been having a great pregnancy. Sending you love and prayers for a smooth labour, delivery & recovery. You’re stronger than you think🤍

As a mom of two, you are very smart to keep your due date to yourself. Once you get to the very end, it can be very emotional. If you go late and you’re uncomfortable just want to go into labor already it does not help at all for others to remind you that your due date has come and gone very unnecessary form of stress good for you! Praying that you have a very safe delivery and an overall good experience. Remember that God has his hand on you and your baby always❤

Hi Kian! Your videos are always so relaxing. It seems like you're well stocked. I would suggest one thing: buy yourself some individual freezer meals. Try to get healthy ones. If you're ever alone and need a meal but don't have energy to cook, they will come in handy. Have a good day.

We also shared our due date with everyone and not a single person asked if she was here yet. People know that babies are gonna come when they are meant to, and that a lot of first babies take a little bit longer to bake ❤

Hi Kian! I’d love to know more about how you prepared for the baby, how did you educate yourself on all these things you needed to know before baby gets here? Google, Books, KZbin videos? Which were your favorite? Also a video on all essential things that you need to know while you’re pregnant or when baby gets here. Focus on your rest and baby’s well-being and maybe if you have time down the line, when baby is a little older, I’d love some videos like this!! Stool softener is a mussstt - even if you feel good still use them so you don’t get hemorrhoids especially with a natural birth, lots and lots of bedside snacks that are easy to open and have lots of protein, also I haven’t used these but heard great things about nipple shields so you can still feel sensation on your nipples after breastfeeding for a while! Also maybe bibs on the cart for daytime feedings! Your doing great 🤍🤍

@bonniebrown5102 Жыл бұрын
I'm so impressed on how prepared you are! My only suggestion is to have someone help you get you bedding protection on a week or so from your due date. I planned to have a hospital birth with my second child and my water broke naturally when I was resting on my bed in (what I thought), was just early pre-labor. We didn't have time to get the bedding stripped and in the wash before I left for the hospital so that was kind of not fun to deal with when we got home from the hospital.

I didn't want to tell strangers my due date either! It's like... strangers do not need to know that information BUT also its is an ESTIMATED due date for a reason. Baby's are not alarm clocks and will come when they are ready. I kept telling people the end of April or the end of Spring to get around it!

The story about the guy with the road rage reminded me of the intrusive thoughts immediately after I gave birth… it can be sooo scary and hard and is VERY common! Nobody told me about that kind of anxiety in postpartum! Maybe it could be good to look into some ways to talk yourself through those sorts of things so it doesn’t come as too much of a shock and overwhelm you ❤ something like that happening with your baby in the car would have absolutely sent me over the edge 😢

Baby clothes sizing is just as goofy as adult womens sizes. My baby boy just turned 1 and some of his 3-6 months still fit, some of his 12 months are too small. Usually 9 months is the sweet spot for his size but not always. So if you have an outfit you love even if its way outside his age try it on him! You'll be surprised how much use you can get out of them - of course every baby will grow at a different rate but sizes are definitely inconsistent in my experience
