I’m so happy for you! I’m pregnant for the first time and will give birth to twins in a month but sadly one of them will be stillborn. Your videos have really helped me get through the devastating last few weeks and now I’m just focusing on having a good time bonding with my healthy baby and setting my mind on a positive birth experience. I’m praying that everyone will have a happy ending to their pregnancy journey ❤️

Oh my goodness. I am so sorry to hear that. That was biggest fear when I was pregnant, that I would have a stillborn baby. I can’t imagine the heartache that must be lingering. I’m praying for a miracle for you! ❤️

Thank you for your lovely comments! 💕 I just wanted to pop back and share that I gave birth to my twin boys on may 20th and everything went well. We had the best of support at the hospital and got to say goodbye to our son Aaron in our own time. Our other son is doing well and being his mom is so much fun! We named him Sam which means ”god hears”. Have faith everyone!

So exciting! I had a homebirth in February with my first baby and it was amazing. My best advice is to let go of all expectations and just focus on getting through labor. Surrender to the experience. When I watched videos of other womens birth experiences, the trend I saw with a lot of people was that they had too many expectations. They thought they were in labor when they weren’t, they thought they were more far along than they were, or they thought baby would be born by a certain time and that didn’t happen. And with birth, nothing is predictable. Those mindsets set you up for disappointment which can really affect how you progress in labor. Just take each moment as they come, just you, the Lord, and your baby. And remember you are so much stronger than you think because you have Jesus living on the inside of you! ❤

I have had 2 babies so far and it’s probably the best advice I’d ever say is being loose handed with expectations on how your birth will go. Just cause you want ultimately not to to have your joy stolen simply cause it didn’t go how you planned. The biggest moment no matter what is just having that baby and doing what it takes for them to come out healthy so I totally behind that mentality.

I’m 4’ 11’’ and had my baby 5 months ago. The rib pain was no joke! It actually took a couple of months for mine to go away completely. And after I gave birth it was a little painful to stand up completely straight for a couple days because of the stretching of the ribs. Praying for ya girl!!!

Breathing techniques and different positions during contractions are game changers 😊 birthing pool with warm water is so relaxing and that fitness ball is soo needed during the dialation. The first few hours of labor better to just sleep between contractions and eat, because later you won't be able to.

Ooph!! I feel you when it comes to ribs pain during pregnancy (I’m 5’0” and my husband is 6’2” so I was one tiny mama carrying big babies 😅😅)!! One thing that would help, at least at the end when it would feel like there was not enough space for baby and organs all in the same place 😅 was to kneel on all four, that would make it so that the baby was resting more towards the skin than towards the organs and it would give me a little brake to breath and some space for the inner organs as well.

I love that you are not nervous for labour. Going through it is a huge deal and life changing but it’s not necessarily something to be nervous about! It’s something so many women go through. It will be intense and probably painful, but female bodies (for the most part) are built to birth. Even built to recover from a c-section while caring for a newborn! You’ll be amazing. Just surrender to it all and do your 4/8 breathing. Also (so tmi) but while dealing with the pain of labour it helped me soooo much whenever my husband shook my legs or bum. Like, proper shaking the muscles around. I think it helped the muscles to relax and it was so relieving! 😅 Will be praying for you, Kyle and your little boy xxx

Great job on pea ting being relaxed for any possible outcome! During my pregnancy I never thought about what my response would be to c-sections and things like that. It’s such a good thing to emotionally prepare for!! Also for Kyle - my husband watched the whole birth and said it was more about seeing the baby than seeing all the weird stuff. Such a beautiful experience!!

I would never want to fill anyone with fear but I just had my first baby 2 months ago and the Labour was so long and such agony and I wish I had known beforehand that the perfect births we frequently see on KZbin stories are just not the norm. I think I had slight fairy tale expectations and was shocked to my core by the all encompassing pain of labour. Sorry this is not to be negative or fear mongering - just the realistic description of labour that I wish I'd had before I went into it! I am someone who needs to prepare mentally for things in advance. Please just ignore this if it's not a helpful comment!

What I did with my second born (who was bigger than my first born that I tore and had to get cut with), I did extremely low sumo squats like a really deep stretch and also did sets of kegels while in the position. I swear he pushed himself out and I didn’t tear at all!!! Really try to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles and stretch!

I’m glad you mentioned women needing more sleep. The reason behind this is because women can only produce/create estrogen when we sleep. Men have testosterone in their testicles so they don’t need sleep to produce it. Hormones are EXTREMELY important to both men and women. Just a little extra info! God bless 💛

I’ve actually read completely the opposite when it comes to sleep in men and women. The studies I read said the effects of lack of sleep on men last much much longer that for women. Which I think would make sense that the Lord made our bodies to adapt to different patterns of sleep, given that we have to go through pregnancy, child birth, breast feeding, many a times also we are the ones to respond to our kids waking up at night etc etc.
