Rs.2500 is just 8$, You can't expect to get 2 hours of constant driving for just 8$. It's your fault that you took him to the ATM & then went to get some breakfast. He can't take another ride cause he should be ready when you choose to leave. It doesn't matter that he went for his breakfast cause he has to wait for you regardless. You're saying "You just took me to the ATM" Yes, that's the moment he started the commitment. YOU KEPT HIM WAITING FOR YOU.... If you didn't want that you should have paid him at the restaurant and let him go. And you both are at wrong for not communicating it properly!

I think sister in every country and society you will find a bad lot. It's always better to find the best ways to explore a country by going through credible sources , or you will end up facing trouble. In Sri Lanka, you should always ride in a metered taxi tuk where the device is fixed on top of the hood that will work on the actual charges for your ride.Request the driver to on the meter to be sure. Also take note of the license number plate of the tuk which you had a bad experience, so that you could lodge a complaint to the nearest police station. When you are a foreigner, the police will take immediate action based on the critical status of the case. However, Sri Lanka, as a country, has plenty to offer from lovely beaches, up country chilling weather with scenic tea landscapes, historic buildings, breath taking waterfalls, wildlife nature, luxury hotels, authentic food and culture etc. Enjoy your trip. Sri Lanka is one of the best places i have ever been to in the entire world (and I have travelled pretty much everywhere, no need to be a travel vlogger, beside I have a channel too but that's another story) but what do you think they do when they wait for you to eat etc? Where are you from? An African country? if yes chances are nil that you don’t have scammers in your country and no delays in Airports . And the way You were condemning our air line …is not respectable at all…any air line may get passengers who missed their transit plane. I had that experience in LA with an American air line and ended with 3.5 hours delay.And as for Tuktok driver... You both at fault as you forgot to mention and driver forgot to ask that you were stopping to have something to eat…then fare would have been different. AND you didn’t see our country at all and I don’t think you can afford it….its best to visit somewhere else with your tight budget.
