You can try exploring offbeat places nearby Darjeeling like Lava, Lolegaon, Sandakaphu trek, Tonglu, Tinchuley tea garden is a must visit place nearby Darjeeling Glenary's, Keventers are nice for breakfast dinner Then while going back to Siliguri you can explore places like Phuentsholing (Bhutan border), Coochbehar (Royal place) These are 2 to 3 hours journey from Siliguri towards Assam.
