I hope this video can bring you some entertainment in these very strange, strange times. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for sticking with me for another year. "my lesbian experience with loneliness" is really really damn good (really good phrase to use out of context). Where do you guys find comics like this? I really really enjoyed everything about this comic and I haven't really enjoyed a comic/manga/anime in a long long time. I just don't care for power fantasies or fantasies in general. I guess I would like slice of life but most of that falls into fantasy too, I loved how honest and weird this one was, and I adored the art style.

I totally agree with you on Death Stranding. I was falling in and out of love with it, routinely, for 30 or 40 hours, took a few breaks from it even, but what made it finally, securely 'click' was realising that the terrain really has a huge impact on your performance. That changed the entire experience of playing for me. I stopped looking at my objective marker that was forever away, and started looking at the next 20 steps, noticing all the rocks and pebbles and slopes. I do feel like it has some pacing issues - if you do a lot of sidequesting, you're going to feel like a lot of abilities (like Mule Anti-Ping, weather forecasts, and the little hover carts) come a lot later than they should, but I only felt that because every time I got a new toy I felt like the entire game was being recontextualised before my eyes.

Biggest complement I can give Shadowbringers is that, I, a guy who does not play MMOs, and has no particular connection to Final Fantasy in general, legitimately payed attention to Pat's Shadowbringers streams every time he got to story content, despite having 0 intention to going in. I had it playing purely as background noise, but at some point I just started paying attention and never stopped.

Great job Clemps! Keep the good stuff coming because you really make me happy whenever I watch your videos! ^_^

Heck! Heck! Heck! Emet-Selch made me feel things I didn't know I could still feel about fictional characters. Real talk, watching the first few hours of you and Pat playing Shadowbringers and having an absolute wonderful time finally convinced me to give FFXIV a try. 9 months later and I'm working my way through Shadowbringers MSQ (I like to take my time). I've joined an FC, overcome my anxiety over playing with strangers, loved the story from the saddest moments to the funniest. Even some of the side content was surprising, like the Omega raid: I didn't expect a side story about the super boss from FFV would turn out to be such a touching, even original take on the inhuman AI learning what it means to be human. I can't wait to see your retrospective on this wonderful game, and the journeys it's taken us on.

When you said "recognize the first few chords" I honestly wasn't expecting Shadowbringers, but every. damn. time. I hear that song, I get chills. By far the best expansion in terms of quality, narrative and writing... the flow of content is dead on the doormat currently, but I still don't see myself stopping playing it until service ends tbh. Glad to see you love Shadowbringers, honestly where KH3 left a sour taste in my mouth and made me resent Square Enix, Shadowbringers dressed and treated the wound.

Fuck me, I rolled my eyes when you said that I would know the song for your favourite pick, and actually looked away from the screen. I was expecting it to be nothing I'd played. But when it came on, an honest to god shiver ran through my back. I was not expecting you to have that as your choice, and as someone else who has put thousands of hours into it, everything you said...I could not agree more. Surprised you didn't mention the nier crossover though, since we all know how much you love that series.

I keep hearing all this FFXIV buzz, I see the characters in mobile games like FF Record Keeper, Brave Exvius, and DFFOO, but I'm very aware that the game is a slow burn until Heavensward. My meager future free time is already swallowed up by continuing DFFOO, upcoming Phantasy Star Online 2, the recent announcement that SINoALICE is getting a global release, and my constant reiteration that I will catch up on all the Nihon Falcom games I'm behind on (only 3 Ys games, 7 Trails of games, and 2 Zweii games)

More Clemps is a glorious blessing in these panicked times. I know this may have already been answered somewhere else, but I've wanted to ask for a while now if you've ever played the Shadow Hearts series? They seem like the sort of JRPGs that would be featured on this channel. I guess it's kinda hard for a lot of people to play them nowadays, because as I recall the series is imprisoned on the PS2 with no other releases that I'm aware of. Anyway, the Shadow Hearts games are a delightfully quirky little trilogy of JRPGs featuring, among many other things, a hard gay professional wrestling vampire superhero, Anastasia Romanov (yes, that one), a Brazilian ninja, a giant drunken anthropomorphic cat that's also a movie star, and plenty of legitimately terrifying eldritch horror monstrosities to bonk on the head. I wish I still had my copies of Covenant and From the New World. I could use their absurdity right about now...
