Hope things go well for your family in the future. I have a little update on the 8.3 Cummins swap cam gear was damaged replaced it with a used one. Right now if the sun is shining we are building what we like to call a three season barn over most of the cow yard. We got half of the posts set in ground working on second half today.

Do the 125’s have the Q port exhaust? With that finger up from the middle of the exhaust port? He used that as a decomp dump because at operating RPM it’s not a power loss. Those fingers that you use for the 372 and that Q port design taught me a lot... I’ve always been a torque guy not a high RPM guy... 👍😁. You can’t just thread a bolt into the broken recoil piece then weld it up? Just a little antiseize on the bolt? You can always run a chasing tap back down after you pull the bolt to have a back up pull start? I’d definitely try it...😂👍. I’m really glad that you’re smiling Harvey... There’s a lot of us guys that wouldn’t hesitate to carry you through a fire buddy! You are a great honest guy who was at the forefront of knocking down the wall of secrecies and started telling people what numbers were and how they worked...then you went onto do a port job on video and actually show and teach the guys who wanted to know! You took a lot of heat for that and there’s still that little group of smart butts that don’t want people to know what they do when they charge someone to “port” their saw... It’s just really funny to me to have seen all this go down these past couple of years and their believes have slowly started leaving the dark side and coming over to the light.... I liked that 70cc Mac that old TinBasher knocked out... but I absolutely love that freaking Pioneer P whatever that Buckin just ran again in that latest video. That Mac looks pretty decent until that badazz Pioneer lights off!!! Good Golly she’s a nasty sounding saw!!! And just straight rips the chips!!! She’s a chip ripper!!! I just finally wrapped up this echo pb650 I had to rebuild for my buddy who works at the hospital and cuts grass part time... and now it doesn’t look like I’ve got spark... finally found my spark checker and finished my brake...so I’m back to try and get her to crack off!!! Later Gator 🐊!!!

My prayers go out to you and Barb, may you be well and trust in God. Scripture records that by His stripes we are healed. I believe that with all of my heart and I remind you of that precious promise. On another note we had a McCulough D44 that was a miserable saw to start and would vibrate like crazy. Then I bought my first Stihl 056 Super. Well, need I say more. Have a blessed evening from Petrolia, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦

My Gma bought my Gpa a Mac 125 Xmas of 1972... the coil crapped out on the 2nd tank of fuel, needed a new coil or solder work every few years. Dirt Bike Motor with a recoil rope... 😊 Glad to have played with it as a kid before the internet 🎉🎉🎉

Philadelphia checking in. Harvey I don't comment much but I watch. I'm a city boy and I don't have much use for a power saw but I love the dedication that you guys have to your tools. Your community and Buckin community change my life. You guys have become a daily routine for a lot of us. We get done work eat dinner grab the tablet and watch some of our favorite KZbin content creators. The only reason I keep cable around is for the Flyers Sixers Phillies and Eagles. So when something personal comes up for you and your family that comes first. I'm sure you know that but don't ever apologize to your subscribers because they know they are your KZbin family. So keep up the great content and I hope to see you at buckinstock if we ever have one 😂👍💪

There used to be quite a few Mac 125's around 10-15 years ago out here on Oregon. A saw that size isn't that practical or needed with the small timber that is harvested these days, so they were retired, then sold off. Now if one comes up for sale the price is crazy. Nice to see you got one running.

Boy I always enjoy watching you working on saws. Your knowledge of so many things and various saws is amazing. You are right about how parts are worth more. I've been working on saws now for about a year now and boy I love chainsaws. I just got my first job to get an older sthil 025 running again. I enjoyed watching you working on that o25 in an older video. I'm sorry to hear about your family. My thoughts and prayers go out for you and your family. My mom was in the hospital for brain surgery and I lost a good Friend in November so I can understand how life can be so tough sometimes. But you just have to keep kicking saw dust and keep on buckin. I love you man but your not getting my bud light......

The single screw above where the H/L usually goes is an air bleed screw, it bleeds air into both the high and low circuits. Turning the screw out leans out the entire mixture. Same on some of the SP81 models.

Hi Harvey, first of all best wishes to Barb and you, I feel she is in sure hands with an old Army Medic, I was not surprised when I found out that was your discipline. I always hoped you would do a 125 as I have a couple myself, both single jet. Ask you kindly to put on the channel the make and model of the two jet carb you have on the spare tank, I am searching for the same. The screw on the the mcculloch carb you showed, I believe, goes right through the body and pushes directly on the butterfly, to adjust idle, same as the single jet just internally rather then external linkage. Best wishes to everyone, from us here in NZ.

Mac wasn't too precise with the coil mounts, all of mine have timing marks on the flywheel that they expect you to use. Most of my macs run 0.018 on the points, couple of them won't even fire at the recommended 0.018, they run at 0.014. The Mac coils for the bigger saws like the 250,143....they have a healthy 1/6-3/32 of an inch sideways moment, maybe a full degree of rotation of moment on the screws, so ya have to pay attention and check your work with a meter or timing light. I love my macs but you really have to know them. I have a mcculloch service manual for a power mac 6, it's a good read, they had a really particular way of doing things.
