God, man i have been having EVERY symptom you have described an also left hand an fingers going numb. Went to doctor a month ago had pancreatitis omg that was so painful. Still kept drinking. My birthday was 3 days ago an i drank my usual 3 pints blacked out an woke up in pain bad shakes couldn't find a bottle anywhere,an started calling my mother because she's the only one i have left that hasn't left me 5 children an my wife haven't seen them in 5yrs. I flipped out talking to my mother like a dog because she didnt have any alcohol. I had a bad breakdown that night really believed i was going to have a heart attack that night an die. I prayed God help me begging please god give me more time i wont drink again. I haven't drank a drop since October 21, an surprisingly haven't had any bad withdrawals. Thank you for what you're doing.

Good work brother. Addiction led me to having a stroke at 21, heart condition, mystery muscle cramps through my whole body, from jaw, through the hips to toes. 10/10 pain. I recovered from the stroke but I am not the same. I shouldn’t be alive, every day is a blessing. You can’t realise how much we take our health for granted until you really face your own mortality, and it changes everything. Whatever you’re dealing with can get so, so much worse brother. If you get sober now you will never regret it, you’ll never miss it. I’ve partied harder than anybody you could imagine, I partied like a millionaire for the last 2 years of my addiction. It was pathetic. The more money got injection into my addiction the more pathetic it became and my character eroded. I am 2 years off alcohol and 1 year off drugs now. Please choose to get sober and build a relationship with God. Your life will become better than you could ever imagine, you have everything to gain in life my friend ❤❤❤

Well Ld as you were talking, i was hanging on your every word. I've been there and the fact that I was boiling chicken, chopping onions, garlic, and carrots. Cooking away and thinking how blessed I am to have found your channel. And how blessed I am to be sober today. I'm getting better physically and mentally. I spoke to nurse on the phone today. Calls I used to avoid, and it wasn't bad numbers or bad results. She actually wanted to know if I ever looked at my patient portal because they wanted a printout from ultrasound they didn't have a copy of. I actually know everything in my patient portal. I knew exactly what she needed. Im alert and present, and it's so wonderful to be present and not try to avoid and hide. Always an excuse. I truly hated myself. Tonight's topic really hit home. I hope there's a part 11. 🙏 Thank you Ld.

This was a great video and really hit hard on me. I had a few of those symptoms before crap hit the fan as well. A few months before I had really bad pain in my liver to the point where I couldnt sleep it hurt so bad. I started drinking in the morning everyday for a year before I got sick and every morning I would try to drink and have a garbage can right next to me because it was coming back up immediately I did that until about half way through a gatorade bottle being half empty (yes, I had gotten to the point of dumping my liquor into a gatorade bottle.) When I started noticing symptoms it was my legs started swelling and I googled it and all that came up was liver issues, so I freaked out and drank more, thinking I was too young for liver issues (I had just turned 41) thinking back to those days really depresses me because my life is so much different and better now without that poison. Thank you for all you do, and I hope the cleanup is going well for you. Prayers to everyone affected by Helene and Milton! Stay safe

Wow, LD! That's crazy that you had so many GI symptoms from alcohol, and that everything was just going right through you like that! Thanks for always being so honest in your videos. I don't mind you sharing the graphic details because it sheds light on how dangerous alcohol can be, and how much it can disrupt your bodily functions! Also, I can relate to having more intense hangovers with time. It seems like after age 30, my hangovers would get more severe and linger on for a lot longer than usual. Still, I went on drinking undeterred, not thinking that anything serious would happen until I was much older. I thought I had plenty of time to stop drinking, and that I would just stop right before things got really bad! I had no idea about chronic pancreatitis; I didn't know it was something you could get from drinking, nor that I would end up with it in my early 30s!! Anyone out there still abusing alcohol needs to see this video because you definitely don't want to end up with these health consequences!! When your body is crying out for help, it's best that you listen and take action before it's too late!! Alcohol sucks man, it really does!! Thanks for sharing this story, and whatever happens with your pancreas, I wish you the best of luck! ❤🙏

The story about sopping up and straining spilled liquor was a little humorous at first and I thought it was unlikely but about 30 years ago I stopped at a liquor store on way home . The old clerk commented..."Well,... theres' one dead soldier" when he dropped a pint of vodka on the floor and it shattered. Then he said.."They say it has no oder but I beg to differ". An old patron (obviously a heavy daily drinker), replied.... "Ah...just get a rag and soak it up and filter it through a paper towel"...I thought he was joking.

Your story never ceases to shock and amaze me. The story of sucking up vodka from the floor and ringing out a towel to get the vodka is one of next-level desperation and addiction to your slave driver and would be executioner, booze. I am SO sorry you got sick and SO glad you finally got sober. I am also SO glad you have the courage and commitment to tell people the ugly, honest truth of where drinking will take them if they have AUD. Your story offers one cautionary tale after another. It is shocking and yet understandable, given your AUD, to hear that you weren’t even willing, with the Internet at hand, to seek out health-related info. The AUD put blinders on you so you were unwilling to gather info that could have told you to get to the doctor. So scary to realize how much the AUD brain wants to ensure a steady supply of booze and doesn’t even care if the larger organism is being destroyed in the process. Thank you so much for bringing all this horrible truth to light!! You are doing fantastic work to alert people about the dangers and deception of AUD, using blunt, scary, and shockingly raw stories (the undigested beans) to make your points. Thank you SO much for what you do and who you are!! SO happy you are sober and alive!! Praying for a good outcome to your pancreas appointment! Sending prayers, appreciation and love! 😊🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️

You are lucky to be alive. I lost an older brother, my only sibling to alcoholism in his mid forties. He was a heavy smoker as well and that played a major part of his passing. His heart was damaged over the years from binge drinking and excessive smoking. He was warned by doctors, but when drunk his reasoning was messed up.
@fernandapartridge5174Ай бұрын
Funny, a lot of us refuse to accept it, when our bodies give us a warning. Mine was neuropathy, that really messed my back up. I had no idea, (or didn’t want to think that was the reason) that you could get such horrendous back pain from drinking alcohol. Ended up in hospital with it, due to not being able to walk, I had no reflexes in my legs, nothing at all. All the doctors were baffled. I quit anyway, and it was only about 2 years after that, that I finally realized what that was. I never wanted to ‘go there’ at all. Crazy the mental gymnastics we can perform. You are SO RIGHT about having your life back though! You get it back and all the good things that come with it.

I don't know why but I enjoy hearing you tell your story, drinking was never really my thing it was just an aside to pills and partying. I always hated the way alcohol made me feel during and after. It felt like poison.
@Kevin_Yagoonie21 күн бұрын
Man ill tell you if anyone is having a difficult time quitting alcohol they need to hear about your bathroom issues. That right there is enough for me to keep going with my sobriety. Thankfully i never had problems like that besides diarrhea in the morning. Im 43 and started drinking regularly in my mid 20's. Last 10 years it got so bad where id finish a 30 pack myself from 9am to around 4/5pm and pass out. If i wasnt drinking beer i was drinking 1 1/2 liters of vodka in a day. Im type 2 diabetic and have high blood pressure. I stopped drinking for 3 months then relapsed. Now currently im on 1 week sober. I need to do it this time because i know sooner then later my luck will run out. But yeah your bathroom stories definitely makes me never want to go back Also i was having severe pain in my right side that traveled to my back. It lasted a couple months. I went to 2 different hospitals and have myself looked at for it. They did blood, urine tests, cat scans, xray and found nothing thank god. Was told it was a muscle. So i changed how i slept and haven't had that pain since. But that scared me

listening to you describe pancreatitis is exactly correct. I was hospitalized twice for it and it felt exactly like you said, your chest and stomach would hurt so bad and your back would hurt too, but you couldnt lay down and no position you go in can make it feel better. Second time I had it so bad I had to have surgery and get my gallbladder removed. Mine was caused by genetics, bad diet and some drinking.

Just don't want another blood clot. I have low platelets. Plus i am on meds. Just trying to gain muscle. My oxygen seems to drop. Seriously when I got diagnosed in March 2023. I was given a 2 year life. Now, I wasn't told I had fatty liver or cirrhosis but ESLD in ER. Every day I wake up I look around at my hands and touch my liver and then I get up and look at my innocent twins, who inspired me to get stronger again and drive them to school etc. "Thank you God for keeping me strong and alive". Are my words. My kids keep me charged. they say "u didn't look good almost two years ago but u just need some protein shakes😮 and u ar going to live forever". ❤them. 🎉tks for any suggestions😊😊
