One word of warning about the smoked glass pots. Make sure that you buy or make something to hold the handle with, like a pot holder that slides onto the handle. We had them back in the 80s and I burnt my hand really badly on one, the handle heated up. The yellow leaf dish is Japanese made , they made lots of beautiful plates and bowls in that style, all different colours. Love the pink meatloaf and casserole dishes.

Actually the glass pot (or ceramic) is a very healthy alternative to cooking things. I have a bunch of them in different sizes, the food will taste better with no metal taste especially when you cook tomatoes. Also when you store glass pots keep the lid upside down in the pot so you won't accidently hit the lid handle getting it in and out of the cupboards. Also in between glass casserole dishes, pots and what have you, put coffee filters or pot holders in between to help prevent accidental hits. Can't wait for your kitchen redo, it seems like you're ready!

Makes me feel like I work in a patisserie every time lol 😆 Beautiful pieces you have picked out. I had no idea about the lamp trend but I realized I have one in my kitchen lol. I have a spot that doesn't get enough light so I put a gilded one up on a shelf to compensate. I put green glass and various decorative metal bits under it to take advantage of that light. We have a smoked glass double boiler that looks a lot like that pot! It was my great grandmother’s. She also had these really funky green glass goblets that look… melted? Knobby? Bubbly? Old kitchenware is so fascinating lol

Check the marks on the bottom. I'll bet half a dollar that it says "Pyrex Visions" and that yer great-g'ma bought it in the 70s.

Appeals to me, your smoked saucepan looks like corning ware so it's part of a set, I have the set. Your not not weird your just ahead of your time, all us old ladies are into our corning and pyrex, you are proof of taste at a young age. Next will be your thrifting for vintage Christmas then listening to Joni mitchel and loosing your mind when you come home from thrifting with a hand made quilt. I think its lovely. Xxxx

The wood lamp and smoked glass and other stuff remind me of my uncles cabin. It has a sophisticated but "earthy" feel.

Ariel, what do you eat? Try a breakfast casserole with hashbrown potatoes, sausage, cheese, mushrooms, rotel, bell pepper, onions, garlic, in an egg and yogurt mixture. With some smoked paprika on top! Collecting things will help mold the style and color scheme. Because what I thought any of my homes would look like isn't exactly how it is! I have several with tuna.
