Btw I fully agree (especially about the Caulifla part), but I think we also need: - Raging Blast transformation system - dynamic and fully destructible stages, we have the technology now - skins, lots and lots of skins - all of DBS's story - tournament mode - as little copy pasted supers/ultimates as possible - playable giants - cool manga style menus - a memorable intro So yeah you're right about the insanely high expectations. Damn... So Nostalgic, Now I'm so hype, this DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 4 will be so Insane... Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 and all of PSP DBZ games are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. ✌☯️

The first fight needs to be Goku Vs Piccolo. Raditz should either be the played character or a "survive" battle. He was not a tutorial enemy in the series. Ditch all of the RPG stuff for a BT3-like story where you play events in the main timeline. Give me a difficulty that plays like powerlevel-oriented fights would. Nappa should be able to K.O. a player Tien in one combo. Give him hyper-armor. Add "overpowered" events that will play a short scene of the enemy blocking all of the attacks, or dodging and kicking you into a mountain. I don't play Tenkaichi for a fair game. Let me have an insurmountable series of challenges if I want.

One thing I liked about xenoverse, probably the only thing, is that it gave characters multiple ultimates. Like for Goku, just talking about base form (and assuming it’s just 1 playable goku instead of 3, early/mid/end, like in bt3) there should be Super Kamehameha, Kaiokenx3-4 Kamehameha, Kaiokenx20 Kamehameha (which was rush attack on xenoverse as it should be, love that), and all variations of the spirit bomb. You should be able to choose from all of those, no different than how we’ve been able to choose supers since RB1. And obviously that applies to every other character/forms.
