On the topic of Frost, I have what is maybe a bit of a workaround: In Injustice 2, Netherrealm "added" Power Girl and Reverse Flash as alternate costumes for Supergirl and Flash, just with unique dialogue coded in. Since Frost is just Alternate Universe Frieza, right down to the moveset, and Frieza's alt costume is always just a recolour, they could just make Frost into Frieza's alt costume, and add in some unique voice lines for him.

Considering the legacy of BT3, I DOUBT this won't make it in. Specially when "one character for all sagas" is very plausible too. Like, if there's one Future Trunks he HAS to have the original look, long haired and blue haired, right? There's no way they can miss that. Not as guaranteed, but I'd be SO HAPPY if they acknowledge the difference in art style, like they did with the fluffy Super Saiyan vs spiky Super Saiyan. Doesn't seem to be the case from the teaser, but oh well.

I feel like Gamma 1 and 2, and very likely Cell Max IF Giant characters are included, are all shoo-in's. It's the most recent anime material after all. And I'm pretty sure they would include a little OG Dragonball, because I don't think they'll count on being able to sell it as DLC as much. So I think Roshi for sure, Tao, King Piccolo, Kid Goku and Yajirobe will be in the game at least. further grabs like General Blue, Pilaf Mech, Arale, etc. Are much more on the fence, but I think we'll get a nice little smattering of DB characters to begin with.

I actually would prefer alot of Levels,with Different times of day for alot of Iconic settings like a Sunset/night time setting on Kami's Tower or Roshi's Island,Light shifting colors in the Time Chamber. As for characters I think this series should really go crazy with the funny/obscure characters like Monaka and Jaco from the Super,the Mummy guy and General Black from OG dragonball. Hell,imagine if they put every single fighter from the other universe in the TOP? As for forms,I want to see Beast Gohan and orange Piccolo,Ultra ego Vegeta.

Damn... So Nostalgic, Now I'm so hype, this DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 4 will be so Insane... Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 and all of PSP DBZ games are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. ✌☯️

I think them bringing back different variations of characters is still a good idea like Goku(Early)/(Mid) because all characters actually had a difference in rushing techniques, stats and usage. Expand on it with being able to select different B1/B2s and it will be perfect.

Yeah, but it's not entirely necessary. Raging Blast and Xenoverse do fine without it. And yes, I know in Xenoverse there are four other versions of Goku that fight uniquely, but Goku's variations all the way from Radditz to Goku Black fight exactly the same ignoring super attacks. I'd rather have two other unique characters than three repeats for Goku and Vegeta.

@@gengarvenom1180 Im thinking beyond simple super attack differences, xenoverse does a poor job at it anyway, what I mean is the specific rushing techniques assigned to characters like Flying Kicks or Kiai Cannon, each Goku including transformations were assigned different techniques and made each variation unique to them, it was very well thought out and flew over the average casual players head but most people in the competitive scene know this already. Feel like throwing all Goku's into one character anyway will throw off the balance. That's what Raging Blast did but RB removed a lot and I mean a LOT of specific techniques regarding combat to dumb the game down which ended up being poorly executed. That's why RB's base combo set looks relatively all the same between characters excluding cancel sets.

@@SonnyDha_B I understand you want differences on the level that they were at in BT3. Like The Vegeta's in fighterZ or SS4 Goku in Xenoverse, and I'm telling you there is no point. You can have the different fighting style associated with the transformations. For example, have Base Goku be more related to the Saiyan Saga, SS Goku for the Namek Saga, SS2 Saga for the Cell and Vegeta, and so on. You don't need 20 different Goku's for each era of his life. I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying it's not worth getting that if it means we lose out on other more unique characters.

@@gengarvenom1180 That will only make sense if you are able to customize rushing techniques for characters, it would be limiting character usage mainly because you can fit only so much, here's an example, Vegeta and Vegeta(Scouter), two characters with obvious different type of movesets and fighting style variations, SSJ Goku from Namek is no where near the same character as SSJ Goku from the Cell Saga, one has Angry Kamehameha as an ultimate while the other has Instant Transmission Kamehameha, yeah RB made IT Kamehameha a super attack but the point still stands you can only limit a character to what boundary you are going for. Will SSJ Goku be used past the Frieza Saga? Most likely. So it really depends what route they want to take off from. Another suggestion would be making use of UT's Action Type as an option for the Hero Mode customization they gave us but we'll see.

importing the animations from the old games and upgrading them to modern quality should be much easier than rebuilding everything from scratch. i agree with you 100%. if they're trying to sell this as a true sequel to the tenkaichi series, the final product should be an upgraded version of the series, much like each installment was to the previous, and that includes characters and the mainstay modes (would be cool if they returned all the previous game's modes).

​@@ignisalge7156 roster doesn't even matter to me honestly, what matters is gameplay. first we need to find out who's developing this, and if they don't make it feel like tenkaichi 3 or better i'm not giving bamco my money. there's a possibilty that they repeat the crack that was ultimate tenkaichi to a degree, or simplify the gameplay and focus on some other aspect that wasn't part of the series. for example they could try to hop on the xenoverse wagon and introduce CaC. i'm not against it but it should stay in xenoverse, give the XV fans a third game in the future, they've been well-fed with their dlc i guess). or they could have missed the hint about FighterZ being a traditional fighting game and its community more accepting of supporting it through single DLC chars, and start doing the same... imagine having a tenkaichi game with that kind of DLC practice. there may be room for a smaller roster that gets completed with DLC seasons, as long as DLC comes in packs of multiple characters centered around a theme, or including free updates (unlike xenoverse, since there's no CaC. free updates could be characters that they don't have confidence in selling as DLC). my comment was about how they can copy and port the animations from the previous gen. Tenkaichi 3 runs at 30 FPS but renders in 60 on the PAL version, with modern technology these animations could be smoothed out with a couple of clicks and now you just have to model the character and rig them to the animation... oh guess what, they did the same thing with raging blast if you pay attention, all models in that game that returned from T3 ARE tenkaichi 3 models that were upscaled to the PS3's capabilities with focus on facial feature movement and whatnot. if they're advertising this as a tenkaichi game it has to follow the trend/formula to some degree, and i'm trying to be more realistic instead of thinking "they should make the roster bigger than T3's 150" without any idea or suggestion on how to realistically do that. tl;dr there's so much riding on this game's success, beyond Roster. simply because they poked the fan bear in the right spot and now he expects honey. (sorry for the long rant but ya know, these games are our childhood, and i'm clinging onto hope bamco doesn't ruin it like they did with UT)

The BT games had characters from each saga at the time represented, even some obscure ones like Arale. Why do you think GT will not be represented as much? I could see them going absolutely crazy with characters and including more niche picks like Pikkon and Nail, but I could also see them seriously cutting back to focus on highly polished versions of the characters they do include. I think in the Xenoverse games, they completely cut out 2nd and 3rd form Frieza, which could happen here, too, although I'd rather it didn't. Honestly, you could probably do a whole separate video on how they're going to handle the many transformations and alternate versions of characters. It was bad enough before Super, but at this point, there are multiple characters who have more transformations than you could reasonably map to controller inputs.

People just love SSJ4, and Omega and Baby are also very popular villains all things considered. It would be a shame if they cut those. Even Xenoverse had GT in it's base game (at least the characters). I think GT Trunks (as costume for Z Trunks probably) and Pan, as well as Uub, Baby, Super 17 and Omega Shenron are most likely. I also think they might add GT Kid Goku as well.
