Im going sixth form in a week. I told my teachers i wanted to do law as a career. He told me that 1) unis dont value law a level much 2) law is competetive so pick core A level subjects such as : English , maths, sciences (not psychology) and history 3)a core a level subject will help u so much when going to study law at uni. 4) Unis strongly dislike when students study law at a level

Oh I just thought of a question 😂 do you think economics is similar to gcse business?? Because I’d love to take economics at a level but we don’t do it in my school for GCSEs

ahhh i can’t compare as i’ve never done business gcse, but my understanding is that business focuses more on the insides of an individual business, whereas economics is much more broad, looking at economies and economic policies for whole countries etc!! i know a couple people that have taken business gcse and picked up economics at alevel and have really enjoyed it + been successful 😌✨

I don’t do either of these subjects but my school doesn’t do economics or business at gcse but you can pick it up at A level without any background knowledge so you could definitely pick economics up if you wanted.

hey lisa!!! my school actually set us summer work! it was called ‘introduction to alevels’ work ✨ but if you haven’t been set anything, i really wouldn’t bother! it makes most sense for everyone to be starting at the same level 💘
