As a 45 year old going back to school for a MA then PhD, undergraduate grades are VERY important even if you don’t think you will continue your education, you can’t go back, so power through to keep your GPA high. Professors like students who ask questions and participate and are more likely to help you through the course. Be a student they remember.

Amazing handwriting! McGill is one of the most beautiful universities, I got to spend an afternoon just hanging out on the quad and ended up meeting a friend that I later hung out with in Santa Cruz and got to see their home town

Thanks Arnold! Yess I agree - I really enjoyed my time there and I'm so excited to go back to visit in the near future. Did you get a chance to see inside some of the buildings? The Strathcona Anatomy (upper floor) has a nice little museum type thing - definitely a must-visit!

I didn't reach out to others as much as I wish I had when a was a college student. I kept things to myself too much, and as a result I think I missed out on opportunities and possible friendships.

I am an American student and looking at McGill University to study math, although I'm not sure of my career direction with math. I do not speak French and I understand that is not an issue on campus. However, I am interested in hearing more about internship and other professional opportunities through McGill, considering that I do not speak French. Does McGill help students get internships in English speaking areas of the country or America? Thank you!

Thanks for your comment. :) They are SCM pens from Korea! I could go on about stationary and pens forever - especially these ones. They are SO amazing and I use them for art + school. I highly recommend them! I got them online.

You aren't alone with that sentiment - a lot of people feel the same way. Career advisors can help with this (in my experience they've been super helpful)! Have you tried talking to them?
