I just watched your Q&A video and I love all the info from both, everything was spot on! I just started my tufting journey this week and I’ve made two rugs so far. I’m barely starting the trimming process on the first rug. I was planning on leaving it as is since i didn’t like the way it came out but figured I need the practice if I want my rugs to come out clean and detailed. Funny that you brought up those 600$ electric trimmers cuz I was thinking maybe I should get them too until I seen the price

That's so good to hear, welcome to tufting aha! I'd say the short answer you really don't need these scissors I'd say the shavers are much more of a better purchase and are alot cheaper!

you can get everything you need for under $600 bro i got gun frame and trimmers for like $450

I'm about to start putting my first frame together. Does it matter which side of the frame the eyelet hooks that feed the wool are? I've watched a lot of videos and most have them on the right side of the frame but I have seen a few where they are on the left.

Whatever you feel comfortable with! I have mine on the right side of the frame.

Just personal preference, I actually never bothered to put the hooks up and just feed it from the floor on my left 😅
