edit:
hii guys i know my vid is "things i wish i knew before starting to draw traditionally"
but the whole vid is just tips that I learnt through out the years on what works best in drawing traditionally.
Here's some insight that i forgot to include in my video lol:
(you can also considered it as a summary of the whole vid lol)
1) I used to have an issue with pencils because sketching was always so difficult. but using different types of pencils, using a kneaded eraser and even using an electric eraser helped me so much with my sketches and kept them clean and perfect for any art medium i wanted to put.
2) using colored pens and pencils just gives a very nice look into your art. I'm a sucker for colorful things and doing that tip made it so much better for me.
3) using random erasers always screwed my sketches, is just better to stick with a good eraser brand than using a shitty eraser.
4) adding weight to your lineart makes the whole artwork so much better, everytime i added it into my drawings it looked so amazing
5) this is just something i learnt from using markers, getting copic was always super hard to get specially when they are incredibly expensive. I learnt that by mixing brands its not worth getting a copic set of every color, mixing with different brands do the exact same trick and its less expensive.
6) color swatching is so helpful, its such a waste of time trying out the color u want to use. having a color swatch makes u visualize the artwork better.
7) i have a horrible habit of throwing away my art (i still do) the best thing that u could do is cover it up with a stickynote and try your best to still keep your old/bad art :,3 you never know when you want to look back and redraw it or see your art process through the years
8) outlines is such a nice touch lol
