Stumbled across your channel while looking for people who have moved to Sydney! I am looking to move in Sept with a plan to live/ work in various cities for about 6 months at a time, starting with Sydney. Do you have any recommendations for areas to live in Sydney for someone moving from the UK for about 6 months? Also is it quite easy/ difficult to get a 6 months lease for a studio/ apartment?

How exciting! I would say for the full Australian to live near the beach so you’d be wanting to look at the eastern suburbs in Sydney, northern beach’s, or Manly (I actually wish I had picked manly because I love it so much there). It’s hard but not impossible, there has been a rental crisis recently but it’s getting better now so it should be easier by the time you come out :)

Australia - unlike most other countries - is so big, most people would not have the opportunity to check out lots of places when deciding where to live. Unless you can work from home, or are a doctor, lawyer, accountant etc (business you can set up anywhere) you have to live where you have the most ability to get work - and that's the capital cities. Final thought on your situation: unless you have a mortgage, you're not 'stuck' anywhere - you can move anytime, to any place, once you've found a rental.

Yess so true, I’m glad that I have the flexibility of not owning a property yet as I know that limits peoples options! (Not like I could afford one anyway hahah!)

Love your videos! I'm also moving to Aus in April on a Work and Holiday Visa and your videos already helped so much! How did you find your corporate job? So many people say it is so difficult to find those jobs with a WHV

The thing is, we don't get overs like this, so, make the most of it the first time and try and live without regret in the moment.

Hi! Love your video, planning to go on a work and holiday soon. I am trying to figure out when to go and how to get started. I am wondering since you have a 9-5 job do you now have a permanent contract that allows you to stay longer than 3 years? :)

Australians are originally English and Irish and they invaded Australia and don't like blacks moving to Australia.

Hi, me and and my family are considering the move to Perth as I can access a sponsored visa. Jus quick question , would a 125k yearly income be enough for a family of 5? Thankyou
@MillieWYT7 ай бұрын
It really depends how much you spend in general as it’s all in perspective but that’s a great salary and Perth is a really affordable area to live :) Sorry it’s not much help!

how were you able to get into corperate? I want to do that when I get to Australia, but the visa only allows to be with an employer for 6 months, I assume not many companies would hire knowing you have to leave after 6 months

Love your appartment down in Bondi beach.My fyiend wants to live in Bondi,he's UK too can you advise which areas are the most affordable areas to live .Thankyou
@MillieWYT10 ай бұрын
Bondi is more expensive than other areas as it’s closer to the beach but all these places have easy access to beaches - Bondi, Bondi junction, randwick, Coogee, bronte, clovelly 😊

to be honest i would say there are better places to move to than Bondi don't forget there loads of beaches around Sydney .

dont really see the point in going if its to work, will go in sept and spend 2 months travelling. have more time to explore that way then going for 6 months and working 5 days a week.
@MillieWYT Жыл бұрын
Yeah agree! A lot of people on the working holiday visa do the same, they do a chunk of travelling at the start or end of their visa and use the money they’ve saved :) It’s definitely not a career growth move!
