I am IN LOVE with the way God works through yall! Everything, every moment, every detail, every guest, every angle, every smile, every gesture is perfected and orchestrated by God! I’ve never heard of this woman and 9:54 in she’s helped me understand my God’s calling deeper and more clearly! I had to watch a clip of her dancing and that helped me understand myself more! I’m excited to discuss these things with you all when I come on your show 💓

For me I’m hesitant about approaching a man because 1. Embarrassed if I’m rejected 2. I feel if i initiate it he’s expect me to carry it on 3. Fear of showing interested and being taken advantage of
@lakeshagustave40482 жыл бұрын
Yesss that’s so true….I’ve had 3 happen often but with 1 I tend to approach and then tell them they’re going to reject me straight up. 2 is something that’s just apart of my daily life.

1. Great episode!!! Loved this. 2. As someone who is from the south and raised on men courting women and making that first move I used to think that way. I now don’t mind approaching a man and letting him know my interest and this depends on the environment as well. I don’t fear rejection because just as every man isn’t my cup of tea, I might not be theirs. I practice perfecting my boundaries in every aspect of my life and voicing intentions. My approach will never be WRONG or too STRONG for the RIGHT one.

Amber is just incredible & the more I hear from her, the more of a fan I become. Please let her know that she is helping so many black women, just by speaking her truth & sharing her journey. I'd love to see more of her on your show in the future!

I don’t approach men because I feel the type of man I want is going to approach me. I will set up the play like Duke said though. Lol As far as giving him the cues to let him know it’s cool if he did approach. I just like when a man approaches me. An assertive man. And I have a bandaid on my finger too from a broken nail. I don't approach men, but unfortunately I also have trouble showing interest back (or flirting). I agree that at times if women are the approacher, you may find yourself w/ someone who doesn't initiate anything. So I like to let men take the lead w/ that especially since men have more control over that space, it lets me know as a woman that you actually like (pick) me🤷🏾♀️

I typically don't approach men because in this days society it almost feels as if the men want us to do all of the work. I like the old school vibes for sure. Show me that chivalry isn't dead and take that first step.

Great episode guys and Amber! (RESPECT) I don’t approach men b/c all of my friends are beautiful and I’ve never seen them go after a guy. Guys always go for what they really want when we’re out. I want to be desired the same. It’s not the same as a skinny or slim thick chick that’s approaching,. We risk the possibility that the man may not even like BBW’s (& that’s ok) but that attempt can go sideways quick if he’s disrespectful and idc what anyone say that’s hurtful to a plus size woman.There’s also a stigma like Amber said they don’t think we have options b/c we do! She failed to mention that a lot of them are closet BBW LOVERS and that’s unattractive once we realize that. B/C if a woman is really desired in that way there’d be no “ROSTER” and the relationship (mutual connection) would go somewhere if it right. My opinion! I give signals, compliments and eye contact… that’s me shooting my shot.

I’ve never had the opportunity to approach a man. I’m not opposed to it but I’m soo in my head about being rejected I haven’t 😅 (but it shouldn’t matter) If you’re interested in him, I see nothing wrong with communicating that. I’m sure men wouldn’t mind a woman speaking up first.

@@BrittbyBit ahh man. Sorry to hear that. It can be tricky approaching men even though some men say they are open to it. I think they subconsciously prefer to approach the woman rather than the latter.

I won’t approach a man I really like, but I could approach a man I’m merely attracted to. Men don’t necessarily love or hate it when women approach them but it gives “thirsty” on some levels. And honestly, the kind of men I like tend to be the ones to approach the women they like. If they don’t approach me, or at least express a similar level interest in me, imma keep it pushin😊

Answering the quetion of why, it's definitely I don't want to be taken advantage of and if a man wants you he will truly pursue it, I've seen it, so I'm not gonna keep dropping hints where there's no feedback. I do set myself up to be pursued though. You will know there's some interest.

Well *Iz married now* 😂👋🏽BUT approaching has always been one of those , vibes things. Some men have came off intimidating & uninterested , then admitting they actually wanted to approach but the time or place did not fit their ideal space. I’ve approached , I actually approached my husband on deployment but in the “ooo I like those shades” type…now look 👀🙏🏽 5 years later lol
@priscillaanderson43582 жыл бұрын
I don't approach men often as I'm old school where I like to be chased by a man, it provides the opportunity to play and flirt, as Amber mentioned. However, if I see something I want, I'll make the move cause energy doesn't lie. He won't mind if I do, gently, soft and lady like tho!
@faithemari2 жыл бұрын
If I choose not to approach a man it is because I find a smooth alpha male very attractive. Someone who is not afraid to let you know he is interested in you and can communicate that in a sexy way is admirable. I am not against playing the flirting game. Let's play tennis :) but the arrogance in expecting women to gawk over you because you are a conventionally attractive man is a turn off to me. Also if you lack the confidence to make any moves at all, even if it isn't the first one, shows me that my strong personality may overpower yours in the relationship, forcing me to lead.

I don’t approach men because they seem intimidated by the way I do their role but when they approach me I tend to challenge them maybe a bit to much. Like sir I need to know if you’re truly interested in me or making a move to smash then pass

I probably have approached a man before & I do b flirting hard core sometimes. I've never really been turned down but I think that's because off the physical I don't think I would b turned down for sex but it's another thing 4 them to want something serious and that's y I wouldn't really want to approach a man. I feel like if he approaches me it's more likely hood it could b because he's actually interested in general. Vs me approaching & him feeling like he already n and skip to sum sex. Also the guys I really really like always make me nervous. Which I'm kinda feeling like that means they aren't for me cause the person that was for me should make me comfortable. & if a guy was really interested in me that would b his goal so if the guys in interested in aren't trying to make me comfortable because they don't care to.
