Your undergrad has no decisions on what law school you go to. My cousin went to Brooklyn college and ended up at Harvard Law school and got into every law school he applied to with the exception of Yale (rejected) and University of Chicago (waiting list and dream school).

Thanks for sharing. As a mature student in law school, I see how difficult it is for persons in my groups with a baby and toddlers. As a seasoned mom( my son is a teenager now) I make it my point of duty to help them out whenever I can- notes, past papers, managing a study group etc. I delayed law school because I had my son and I wanted to homeschool but for everyone the path is different. I am happy I did.

I love that you homeschooled and love that you help your peers in law school! I see the same difficulties for my peers now who are having kids and anticipate the same for myself as far as juggling family and career.

Your videos have been such a godsend to me! I recently graduated undergrad and am gearing up for law school, getting ready to take the LSAT, etc. I’m also a first generation college student, so it’s invaluable to me to have some guidance 🙏🏼 keep it up big sis!

Listen uh, your content on law school, generally and specific to pre and post law are one of the insightful on KZbin. I’ve watched many, but the information you have is detailed and entirely helpful. Thanks

Thank you so much for this video! I’m a 2L heading into a big law summer position and this video was SO helpful! I would love to hear more about your experiences as a woman in the field, and how the women you mentioned in your video went about balancing their careers with having families. I get really anxious every time I think about navigating that part of my life so any and all advice would be really appreciated! Thank you again!!

Loved the honesty of this video. I’m considering a transition to law or policy. But Once I started making 6 figures in tech, I spent Willy nilly! It was fun tho but had to come to an end 😅😂

You do not understand how many people told me not to have kids especially in law school.
@TheAspiringBoss2 жыл бұрын
I understand why because it’s not easy! But I think looking back, I would’ve been more serious about marriage and sowing the seeds to prepare for children/family - not necessarily getting married while in school, but moving on a more intentional path. Dating intentionally and not just laser focused on my career and nothing else. Hope that makes sense!

Hi! I'm a recent graduate and am a post bar law clerk waiting bar results in a big law litigation firm but want to switch into corporate transactional work. Other than taking corporate transactional classes, I dont really have experience in transactional work. I heard that switching practice areas can be hard if you've already been in one. Do you think that includes me since im clerking for a litigation firm (been clerking for almost a year). Can you please make a video on how to navigate this and also what we should focus on in our resume? For my CV, I plan on focusing on my corporate transactional classes and B.S. in business but I'm having a hard time deciphering what I should include in my resume that can help with getting into a transactional corporate firm. Also, what steps we should take with regard to job searching. Thank you!
