Q. I wanted to pursue RE law, but from my understanding I would be limited to any particular state per licensure. So now I’m considering corporate law with the understanding that I’ll be able to practice in any state without addt’l licensures, correct? Thanks for the video!! :)

Thanks for sharing these tips! Much appreciated. I have a question, even though I know I'm late to this video. Would you recommend business cards for 1L? I feel like this is a ridiculous question, but I've seen both yes and no arguments, so I'm just wondering what your opinion is. Thank you so much!

I dont think criminal justice and political science majors chose their majors based on feeling like they had to. Maybe its because they actually like those topics

Good job, I want to study entertainment law. I've been doing contracts and showing others how to form their own businesses for years. It seems like entertainment law and business law go hand an hand.

Your undergrad has no decisions on what law school you go to. My cousin went to Brooklyn college and ended up at Harvard Law school and got into every law school he applied to with the exception of Yale (rejected) and University of Chicago (waiting list and dream school).

Hi! I’ve been watching your channel for a little under a year now and just wanted to say thanks. I finished 1L with really great grades and your channel was a big reason why! Your exam studying schedule in particular helped me a lot. Congrats on your baby and new job and thank you again!

What do we think of online law school? It’s still a degree right? I’m older. 3 kids deep and homeschooling so I can’t really leave them to go to school. 😅

I have been accepted into Capital University Law school, and am supposed to begin in August 2024. Ever since March, I’ve had serious doubts about going, not due to the work, but for the ROI for the school and job outcome statistics for that school. I do not want to be in crippling debt and potentially be unemployed due to the statistics I have seen. Recently, I have been giving more thought to entering the medical field as either an NP or PA. I graduated in August 2023 and would need to go back to get science prereqs I lack, but overall feel it may be better to just continue working at my job, getting the credits I need online or in classes I could attend at night, and enter a masters program for one of those two. I am an excellent communicator and I can always debate ideas so I thought, and my family thought, it would be a good fit, but lately I feel as though I would be better suited to helping people in the medical field. The three jobs I have had since last year have involved working with children, and I think entering the medical field in pediatrics may suit me better, even though I wouldn’t say science has always been my favorite subject. What do you think? I should also mention that I have scheduled shadowing days for both fields.

People are so dumb that they will honestly tell you "I went to Law School because I wanted to be like the character Elle Woods in the movie "Legally Blond." Then they don't understand why they can't find a job afterward, and are stuck with six figures of debt in student loans (which cannot be discharged in bankruptcy, of course). You have to be pretty slow-witted to go to law school in the US in 2024, we already have far, far too many lawyers, and not nearly enough jobs/paying clients for them. The law schools just want you money, they don't see students as law students at all, but rather as "student loan conduits" (the money flows form the government, in loans, through the hapless student, and straight into the law school's bank account. Professors drive Mercedes purchased with their students student loan dollars. It's a huge scam; don't be a sucker, don't fall for it.

As much as it sometimes takes creative liberties with what lawyering is really like, I do like how suits at least shows some transactional law as opposed to most other legal shows and movies.
